This Mumu dies trying to invade steal red, even though we all tell him not to do it. He then says, "I'm trolling" and proceeds to continuously run and let them kill him. Just want to know if this is normal, because it sure feels like it after playing my placement games. I'm just not sure why I am considered not good enough to play at this elo when we have someone intentionally losing us the game, and more so, why aren't they punished for this type of behavior?
youve only played 6 games, youll have idiots and trolls...a lot of high elo players have a bunch of accounts and silver has the most smurfs. sometimes they get tired of losing in diamond and troll lower elo. sometimes they just troll lower elo...and then theres just straight trolls that only play ranked to troll. but its not every game. you only lost 13 lp, so you should be gaining almost 30. if you play smart you can climb fast, maybe look into getting a good duo partner.
Yeah this is pretty normal. I did the Lyte experiment and have been writing notes in my games about when my teammates do stuff like this. ~3/20 games in high plat at the moment. 5/20 if you count people giving up and trying to surrender for no reason. It's actually gotten a lot better since the new Skynet banning system went live. Shake it off, report the mummy, move on to next game. If you win 6/10 games, you will climb.
