Villainy change?
Okay, I'm a Garen main, and I've played him before and after the rework, and I'm not going to say that he's balanced right now. I like the rework, although he's just too strong as it stands currently because of 2 major points:
- Villains take too much damage
- There are too many Villains
I think most people can agree with me on the first point (The second is more my personal opinion); but Riot, you did well with his rework. He's actually very balanced IF you are not the Villain, then we run into some problems. I have been thinking this over for the past few days, and I think I have a general solution to our problems. Riot wanted to make Garen have the unique role as an "Anti-carry" currently, the system only targets the last person to get 1 kill, which is problematic, because if the 0/4/2
gets 1 kill while Garen has no Villain. he'll completely ignore the fact that there's a 987/-5/0
laughing as she destroys every tower that dare stands in her way. It's clear that Jinx SHOULD be the villain, but that's just not the case here, and now poor Pantheon here is going to be hunted down by Garen like Gangplank looking for a juicy Demacian trade galleon. So I wanted to come up with a new system. I do not expect these numbers to be perfect, but just a general idea. "Villainy" will now be based off of a stacking system, all under the hood. Enemies get stacks of villainy by doing the following:
(Note, nobody is able to see stacks of villainy)
Killing an ally: +20 stacks
Double kill: +45 stacks
Triple kill: +80 stacks
Quadra kill: +125 stacks
Penta kill: +200 stacks
Kill assist: +5 stacks
Consecutive kill/building destruction: +5 stacks each kill this life past 1 (20 stacks, 25,30,35,40, etc.)
Consecutive assist: +2 stacks
Destroying a tower: +35 stacks
Destroying an inhibitor: +60 stacks
Destroying a nexus: +87,402 stacks
Death: -50 stacks or loosing 1/4 of total stacks, whichever is higher
Death by Garen: -100 stacks, or loosing 1/2 of total stacks, whichever is higher
Every minute without committing any act of Villainy: -10 stacks
If an opponent reaches 100 stacks, and no other opponent has more stacks than them, they are the villain. For every stack on that opponent, Garen deals an additional %(0.1 X Villainy stacks) damage to the Villain and take %(0.05 X Villainy stacks) less damage from all of the Villain's attacks. The defensive bonus is disabled if Garen is under the effects of Courage. In addition, Demacian Justice does true damage to the villain. If the Villain, for example, has 100 Villainy stacks, Garen deals %10 more damage to the Villain, and takes %5 less damage from the Villain. If the Villain gets 20 more stacks, Garen deals %12 more damage and takes %6 less damage. If they are getting really fed, Garen can shut them down easily.
This (In my opinion) is better because it doesn't punish 1 weak person getting 1 kill, and getting destroyed effortlessly by a wandering Garen. Instead, it hurts the target of the rework, the really fed carry more, without damaging the other team's chances of winning if they're pushed to the defensive. Your thoughts on this system, people of the internet?
