Solo/Duo Queue and Ranked Flex Queue for the 2017 Season

Riot Pls: Ranked Pls - 2017 Season Ranked Changes

As a solo only player who has had no issues with playing with and against premades this season, I never cared what direction they took with Ranked as long as I could continue playing solo for the good rewards.

However, I can see why many called to have Solo/Duo Queue back, and now we're getting it alongside Flex (Dynamic) like it was said we'd get initially.

What do you think the pros and cons of the 2017 Ranked systems will be compared to this season and last season?

So they are finally fixing what they fucked up? Its about damn time. This is exactly what people suggested all the fucking time when they lied about bringing back soloq.

This new system will be really similar to last season one. And it will be infinitely better than the piece of shit we have now.

I feel like the next big complaint train will be that flex queue gets unique rewards.

It's dumb how they added that there would be "extra special" rewards and "more flair" on the Flex Queue rewards. It's harder to get higher ranks in solo/duo and you get better rewards now for playing the easier queue.

I am very happy the solo/duo queue is back, i never had issues with duos as much as i had issues with trios, or 4somes, their group mentality just made them soooo toxic, so toxic in fact that they would intentionally bait people. And nobody wants to play a 2vs8, a 3vs7 etc when your own team mates whom are in a trio are against you and baiting you.

I am just happy i won't have to go against trios or 4somes on voice chat anymore also, it's a blessing.

I am just curious how the rewards work with two queues. I think overwhelming especially at higher elos solo/duo players will be more prevalent and therefore higher level flex queue times and matches will be much longer and lopsided. I am sure it will be not much different than it is now in low elo though.

I mean I am fine with playing both queues and think its cool that you have to rank both up to get certain rewards. My struggle now is figuring out how I want to do it. I already play a lot of dynamic queue with my mid silver - bronze friends. Its fun but I play on an alt account so I don't hurt my main accounts mmr. Not going to lie, playing with them is fun but we don't win enough to rank up. Only way I got that account go gold was playing alone. So I feel it could get somewhat annoying trying to rank your account up in flex queue if your friends are lower ranks and mess around a lot. I think think its a minor worry though as having solo/duo queue will bring back some ranked integrity, which will be nice.

Lmfao are people really already complaining in this thread about something new now that solo queue is coming back? I'm happy as hell and will finally start playing ranked again. Was gonna try to get the Maokai skin but honestly not worth the headache (since I don't play Maokai.)

Pros: We're basically going back to the old system. Without Teambuilder. Oh well, at least it worked. Cons: No TB equivalent. There are still duos. Solo botlane against a duo will be as fun as ever. Boosting still available, well at least it's harder.

Overall, I would say it's good if we either got TB back or true solo queue. Now it's like... somewhat worse than it used to be in s5? Still poop, not as poopy as mid of S6, but overall this season is pretty bad aside from role selections.

Pros: People get to play what they want. The new champ select option of being able to pick fill but veto your least favorite role is nice. Now fill isn't an automatic support.

Cons: I'm thinking Flex Queue might have high wait timers. This is just based on the massive bitch surrounding DQ. Maybe the unique rewards will help. I personally wish it was still a true SoloQ, though.
