Would it be a good idea if instead of a rubysightstone , supports could get
an enchant on there sightstone similar to what jungler items and boots enchants are doing that way you could optimize w/e u want instead of just hp

I totally agree with you, some armor, or ap, or mr would be awesome

don't forget ad, I love kalista support
it be even more cool if instead of stats they were utilities, like shields, minion boosts, bonus ward room, FORTIFY,etc etc
what is going to lock it out of the other roles from picking it up? You have to take smite to get the machette and its build paths
Whats going to stop other roles from getting it? NOTHING! SIGHTSTONES ON EVERYONE IS AWESOME
and this is why its a bad idea. the point is to make players sacrifice something.

if it added really cool bonus utility skills then trading your offensive masteries for it would be good, then more people might actually spec utility lol
I am not sure what bonus you want but as long as it gets gated some how. If you want riot to take an idea like this you need to fully flush the idea out.
Riot did say they are more likely to make changes during the split mid season from on, instead of just at preseason.
Also they said they consider fully flushed ideas more than DO X posts.
Not to mention people might actually ward for a fucking change lol
you sacrifice nearly nothing taking smite. you can upgrade it to clear lane waves, do true damage to your opponent instantly and slow them or do truee damage over time and reduce their damage. IE it can easily take the place of ignite or exaust (or even heal if you run spellvamp) + it allows you to buy really gold efficient items. the only tradeoff whatsoever is if you rush an upgraded smite you sacrifice a little damage or survivability for a short period of time...
which is the exact same drawback as you have with a sightstone in your inventory.
it was incredibly popular in PBE testing to take smite as a laner. it may become poplular on live server now that riot is giving more of an incentive (10 bonus gold for clearing a camp with upgraded smite) for laners to counterjungle, or at least clear the camp closest to them in between waves) if they had smite
thank you, someone that can use logic.
I think supports should be taking smite at this point actually. Challenging smite upgrade after a sight stone and you have a 1 min exhust
hey if the other laners want to sacrifice a pure dmg or defense boost for more wards and an slight enchantment boost, that's fair isn't it?
but if u really want to limit it , you could make it so they have to spec in support tree a certain amount for a mastery that lets u do it
also anyone can just take smite and get a machete so I don't see whats the problem here lol
speaking of that I saw a ton of top warwicks that take smite as well as there junglers
well for 800g u get...400hp bonus and 5 charges instead of 3...something I never ever buy because the limit is 3 and It recharges anyway so I feel like its a waste really
instead of the second ruby crystal it could be like... Sightstone+ long sword = rubysightstone with 15-20ad Sightstone +Null mantle= rubysightstone with 30-35 mr sightstone +cloth= rubysightstone with 20-25 armor etc etc etc, (im just picking numbers slightly higher than the basic items around the 400grange , I have no idea what would be good numbers
the other 400g of that 800g is invested into the Unique enchant passive of your choice
example I want my tank support to have Fortify, so I buy clotharmorrubysightstone(or whatever new fancy name it would be called) with fortify enchant, just like jungle items
I want my AP support to have 2 promotions ;) so I buy amptomerubysightstone with the promotion enchant
a new bonus passive can be put on the 21st mastery that allows you to buy the enchants , if u don't put a point in that mastery, your w/e sightstones passive will be set to the default bonus ward charges
if you want to be a tank support with tank masteries? that's ok but u don't get the unique utility enchants that only come from the utility tree, u still get armor and wards though, this would make the utility tree have more shine, and unique passives would add a lot of fun and depth to the game
I cant think of good utility passives atm so I just used those for examples, but ill get back to u guys on that one later
edit: passive no1 Electric fence : place an electric fence down that lasts 30 seconds that slows and damages enemies who walk through it (similar to a karthus wall type slow) used in teamfights, to block certain roads in jungle, etc etc
passive no2
Supply crate: drops down a crate full of hp and mana pickups for a teammate
any other 400g passive ideas input welcome lol
