I will be honest here (might get a lot of hate).

The skin itself takes skins to a whole new level with the team-dj mechanic. It is clever and different...two things that should always be emphasized by riot. I especially like the last dj track she has.

Unfortunately, this skin comes at a high cost. I personally (my opinion) dislike the visual of the skin. It doesn't seem sona to me like all her other skins do, and its quite sad. The cheerful sona is now......high tech and darker,,,,,not my thing. I cannot exactly put my finger on it (someone help), but it just doesn't have the charm that arcade, guqin, muse, and silent night have.

I applaud riot on their hard work, you have made a lot of players happy, but I do not want to get a skin for a neat gimmick that looks less attractive to me.

On a side note, I used to play sona all the time so I am no band-wagon Sona player. My favorite support is probably Soraka (her rework made her so interactive (the equinox) and rewarding (dem heals) to me). Soraka was the support that I got to level 30 to with :") and that's hard to beat (ha music puns).

On one last side note, I played against a DJ sona yesterday that the other team raged about on and on. Apparently she never switched songs (40 minute game). She told me that she played with muted volume because she disliked all her music. I don't like to judge but I think thats kind of funny. Me and the sona got along all game actually and it was pretty fun. Its reasons like this that I like blind pick so much more than draft. The memorable games and crazy team comps never end.

You know it's a problem when you get a Sona main like myself who bought the skin because, well, she's my main. I get told "Please don't suck." and after the game gets going I hear "Finally, one who knows what they're doing"; even from the ENEMY TEAM.

Yeah. People can buy the skin and play her all they want. But they should at least know how to play her before spamming her in normals.

um no offense at all to sona mains, but her skill floor IS pretty low - the main issue isn't even leaning her skills but dealing with her squishiness lol - and if you can't just play safe and learn her in a normal game you must really suck at this game xD

It does suck to see people disliking the surge of Sona players due to the skin, but I'm really hoping that this will actually tank her winrate so that Rito can't just tell us to look at her problematic winrate when they're nerfing her for the Xth time in the next patch, if they give any reason at all.

I pick Tryndamere and specifically hunt down DJ Sona from the jungle. 90% chance she sucks and I snowball off killing her 5 times in a row + morale damage from having another noob Sona on their team = gg.

Every game so far. EVERY game had a Sona on either team.

Too true. But don't worry, I'm pretty sure that Sona mains (like myself) aren't even using her right now due to the influx. I personally have been practicing other roles, and using Annie to counter the Sonas if I do go support.

Just wait for a week or so and the surge will die down and people who actually know what they're doing will be able to play their fav champ again.

Well theoretically you could use it for a lot of somethings better. Do you like the music? If no, don't buy it.

Plus it seems really laggy right now...

Np ^_^ I mean this skin really does make it easy, its all about the music, the model is meh for an Ultimate. I personally don't like that her suit stays EXACTLY the same in all forms, but I like the way the music is.

Also it can be kinda annoying explaining to everyone how to use it :\

Take Velkoz for example. Pretty sure in my point of view, about 70% of league players be buying both Velkoz & the Arclight skin, and they were too embarassed to be the carry of the team(mid), so they go off to a lane where they don't get too much pressure from(support). Or another reason is the fact mid lane picks in team builder is too loaded, resulting in longer queue time. Believe, you don't want to experience high amount of Arclight Velkoz autolockers in blind picks.

But to those Arclight Velkoz player, they treat support lane like a "If I can carry with pretty skin, I carry with pretty skin. Full Ap build, fk this teamfight gg, mid too hard.". And so, ending up with kills which represents damage power spike which is meant for the team's ADC. They don't care wth they are doing. Their purpose is just to check out the skin, so it doesn't matter if they manage to retardedly carry proudly.

In Sona's case, I say it's forgivable to be played in support lane, which is her main role. But DJ Sona skin users act like they have forgotten the full meaning & role of support, ending up in building selfish items and w/e they wanted to build for themselves, not for the team.

Nah in Vel'koz's case they're just afraid that if the buy the sightstone they'll ruin his identity as a lone floating eye. If he has a second eye.... will he even really still be Vel'Koz?

Some people are saying item 2049 isn't meta anymore.

You should definitely get it though. I got a free kill on a nidalee last night with Soraka because I was warding and she was too low when she got close to me.

People like that are why we can't have nice things. Every game I get that item, I NEVER regret it. Every game, I can always point to a MINIMUM of one ally death and one enemy kite that did NOT happen because I was warding the hell out of our jungle.

I agree, I have seen a lot of support Sona now. The day it came out I tried to find a team builder game as Thresh and it took me 4 minutes to find a game (Never takes that long as support role xD) I understand the hype, and them wanting to show off the skin but they really should buy wards ;)
