Why do all of you gamers in your mid-to-late 20s feel the need to advertise that you're married...

... and have kids, etc? I don't mind if you're 25 years old and a streamer, or if you're 27 years old and want to ramble about the immaturity level of the average player. But these threads are always prefaced with "I'm a dad," or "I have children of my own."

Why even advertise the fact that you're married? Is it because you want to have the cute title of "I'm a dad but still a gamer and can still have my fun?"

By the way, I am also in my mid twenties but don't plan on getting married for another 10 years. I want to enjoy the last few years of my youth. I have the rest of my life to be "old."

They might see it as very important to them or a core part of their identity? I am in my 20s and neither married nor a parent, but I can understand someone feeling they are milestones and something to be proud of. edit: If it's prefacing threads complaining about maturity, I'd just guess they felt those achievements helped them grow. I don't know lol.

Probably the same reason you announced that you aren't married; you just felt like it.

many gamers are desperate to get people to believe they are not virgins.
