asking for the password!!!!

ok 3 days back. I had a friend in my list and on his status it says "I can give u 1000rp". so I chat with him and asked "what with the rp shit"(I'm the idiot for talking to him). and he said yes I can give u 1000rp. I have riot codes or something. so I said can u give it to me?? and he said "ofcourse". for a moment I really thought he isn't a troll. then he said "I need ur password". and I was like "wait wut??". the guy: yea I can give u rp but I would need ur account to put it in me: y don't u just give me the code the guy: it doesn't work like that me: plz if u have codes just tell it to me the guy: just give the password i'll do it!! . we talked like that for a long time........!!!!!!! . so ofcourse I didn't gave him the password. has this happened to any of u guys and if it has what did u do??
