Dear Riot: please make the more severe punishments more common

I'm not saying account ban every single guy who rages. I'm saying account ban the people who consistently do various report-worthy things that make matches no fun to play. for example, I just played a match where my team was Vayne Nautilus Malphite MonkeyKing Yasuo. probably the easiest win team yo ucould possibly ask for. I was playing Vayne with Nautilus support, and it started off pretty badly in lane. we weren't exactly doing hot, and he was constantly wanting to all in no matter the odds and got mad at me when I didn't get a kill out of it. at about the 3 minute mark, after already raging at me a great deal, he just leaves lane and goes to steal our junglers farm. for the rest of the match (or at least until I muted him) he continued to go on about how much we all sucked as he stole jungle and left me to feed the Annie Vayne bot lane. overall, I'm almost positive he single handedly lost that game for us. I reported him, but I'm pretty sure he won't get much more than a few days of no league on that account and a firm no-no. people who do stuff like that consistently shouldn't be allowed to play. they ruin the experience of the game for everyone else on the team and clearly they don't have a good time either.

What makes you think he'd even be banned? There's no rule that says you HAVE to support. If he wants to farm and not go bot, he can. Pissing you off isn't a bannable offense, and doing what you don't like isn't throwing the game.

there's a difference between trying other strategies or "doing something I don't like" and blatantly trolling by stealing everyone's farm and kills, all the while talking about how bad we are. considering his attitude throughout the game, I will eat my pc if he was simply trying a new strategy. he wasn't just "doing what I don't like", he was straight up trolling. he would literally refuse to help me in situations in which he easily could have. he would walk up nearby and just turn around and leave until he saw that I was dead. every time. not just when it was hopeless, but when it was something as simple as their vayne chasing me, something where literally an e would have sufficed.

Right, farming and getting kills is trolling really hard...? Maybe he did leave you. Maybe you tunnel visioned so hard on what you wanted him to do that you completely ignored that the Vayne could've 1v2'd you or had backup hiding in the fog of war. Honestly the way you talk, it sure sounds like the latter to me. I've been accused of trolling and leaving my teammates to die when I wasn't more times than I can count.

Honestly it sounds to me like you should get off the blame train and focus on your own play for the next game.

actually, it was the other way around. he was the one who was constantly trying to go in regardless of whether or not they had a clear advantage. I know the difference between trolling and just not going in on a pointless situation. he wasn't just farming and getting kills, he was stealing the farm and kills that our jungler needed to stay in the game from the very start. he made it VERY clear he was trolling and that he was done with this game. including saying "f u all, im done" when he ditched me in lane to go troll.

just because someone accuses someone of trolling doesn't mean theyre just a butthurt rager.

there is no way that guy was punished at all. nor should he have been. people can play the game however they want. if im stuck supporting and my adc is terrible im not going to waste my time trying to help someone who is going to be worthless in the end game anyway. im either going to start stealing cs or roam mid and top.

none of that is reportable.

so let me get this straight. you support the decision that an adc's value is determined within the first 3 minutes of the game by whether or not they make huge plays off of you going in at bad times in bad situations. and you also support leaving from there, stealing your jungler's much needed farm, and watching your adc die from a few feet away in easily prevented situations, all the while raging at your entire team about how bad they are? first off, how the crap is the first 3 minutes of the game against a bot lane that is stronger in lane than yours (and not the first 3 minutes of lane phase. the first 3 minutes of the actual game) enough time to determine that your adc is trash and will be worthless all game? even more to the point, wtf am I supposed to do when you dive their vayne and annie under their minion wave while annie has her stun? and then proceed to repeat the process another 5 times. honestly, anybody who decides their adc is trash within the first 3 minutes of the game is either retarded, horrible, or their adc did something absolutely moronic like dive them 1v2 under tower.

you don't even have to fight to see they are bad a lot of times. just watching how they move and how they cs I can easily see they are bad within the first minute.

I have no problem with the support attacking early, leaving your lane, or taking jungle mobs. everyone can play however they want. raging at the team is wrong though and should be reported.

what can you do if they are bad and feeding? play defensively get what cs you can and hope your other lanes are doing better. don't be afraid to build a little tanky if it is going that badly. you don't have to build pure damage every game just because you are supposed to be adc. there are things you can do.

I agree that people can play how they want. however, if you make it clear that you were trolling your team (as he did) that's when it becomes reportable. also I disagree that you can tell if someone is bad in the first minute unless they are being ridiculously retarded. even disregarding that, I was cs-ing just fine and the only thing I did wrong was follow him at all when he kept trying to dive them.

as for your last paragraph, I was building standard because A) I'm new to vayne and don't play adc often, so I don't build adjust all that well. not to the extremes at least. and B) with our team comp, all we had to do was stop being idiots and just teamfight and we had very little chance of losing. I was definitely playing defensively, but there's only so much you can do as vayne vs a vayne annie combo, even under tower. so honestly, there really wasn't anything I could do but ask for help that nautilus would refuse for no other reason than the fact that he blamed me for us not getting #lcsbigplay kills in the first couple minutes of lane. I could have built tanky, but to be honest, building tanky against vayne is virtually pointless.
