Support Is A Joke

As a ex support main who still loves to play support often, I though support Miss Fortune was a cool funny pick, it was situational and only worked with Ashe and Varus for the double ult combos

Now there's support Syndra, Malzahar and support Camille being played professionally and I absolutely hate it, it's spilling into solo queue and when I play Nami or Thresh I can't do shit unless i'm a meta slave

I see more non traditional supports played than actual supports, kinda funny how champions classified as supports aren't even the meta supports anymore

I understand that feeling all to well. That is why I was forced to (not to imply that I did not want to) get Zyra and play her. The things is, those supports do well in terms keeping their allies alive. The not-actual-support supports are good for a second mage in the game, thus another combatant later in the game.

The only way I can see Riot to fix this is to make the healing/shielding play a bigger role. The only problem with that is champs like Sona, Nami or Janna would be Queens and leave champs like Thresh down and away.

Syndra?

But yeah on a side note I hear ya a lot of the current "meta" supports and just solo kill and ADC with Eye of the Watchers and CDR boots, let alone do way too much of an efficient job against some of the more conventional supports like Thresh, Leo etc. A lot of these Mage supports can just instant burst your ADC once they hit 6 and there's just literally nothing you can do unless you're playing another Mage to hopefully burst their ADC in return
