Can someone explain what this means? Because I have no idea. How can I share my opinion about something I DON'T like while being expected to act like I like it? Seriously what is the logic?
Also what is a "hater"? Because it seems that if I don't like something and say I don't like it, i'm instantly labelled a hater.
Obligatory Lissandra post - In that case, anyone who does not agree that Freelo Lissandra is OP is regarded as a hater.
People have differing opinions, that's just a fact of life. You can respect someone's opinion without agreeing by providing a logical argument rather than being rude.
Note how that came off as constructive. Alternatively I could have said "stop acting like a kid and whining/insulting when you argue." Same concept, different delivery. It's all in the delivery.
To my mind, the difference between a hater and non- boils down to respect for the subject. I'll use your obligatory Lissandra post as an example:
Freelo Lissandra is OP!
A hater disagrees by saying: "Liss sux u just need to l2p newb."
Others disagree with something more like: "Lissandra is very powerful, yes, but I don't think she's overwhelmingly so. Even difficult matchups can usually do well against her by learning to bait her teleport. The biggest trick is recognizing that the minion line isn't as safe against a Lissandra as it is against other champs."
It is, in my opinion, about addressing the concerns, rather than the person.
Offer constructive criticism. Don't flame, but say 'I think this is a problem. Here's a solution I have for it!' If you don't have a solution, spell out your concerns and say you aren't sure how to fix it but it probably should be fixed.
