Should i care about skillcap

So recently i got and did well almost every game but two people said i was trash for playing such an easy champion. Also i was planning on getting because he looks insanely fun but people tell me i should feel bad about playing such a noob-friendly champion. And before i get called i scrublord i play some high skill champs and do good with them like where one match i got 40 kills and 11 deaths jungle which is usually a mixed result i do good almost every match i play him. I know this paragraph is terrible put together but im feeling ill right now and i cant really think straight. TL;DR Should i get and master him in ranked or not because of how nooby he is.
