About Ask Riot: Why recycle questions?

I saw nothing new this time around, and a few times before in certain questions. There's really no point. The answers were essentially copy-pasted aswell.

Movie? Copy-pasted. This was asked once before with the exact same answer, almost.

Voice-Over? Already answered. No update this time around either.

Item Sets? Complete copy-paste. Nothing new.

Just saying, at least answer things we don't know yet and are more meaningful than:"What would happen if Poppy fought against Sion."

Ok, to be fair, that would be pretty cool to see. But you get the point. I hope.

For the same reason in blogs and Meddler's Quick Thoughts and the Playtest Chats they always respond to one person to say "no, I won't say anything about new skins": they want to help as many people as possible, regardless of whether or not those people put in a minimum amount of effort to learn about history. If they're still getting tons of people asking "how do I join the game industry", it means people will be reading their newest column looking for that answer. It doesn't matter if they've given that answer 5 bazillion times already.

Going to just answer the same way i did with LostFrost:

Many of the questions we receive in Ask Riot have been answered previously, but without an easy way to browse questions/answers it’s not always easy to tell. We plan to solve that in two ways: First, we’re launching an Ask Riot question archive (nothin fancy, just this filter for Nexus), which goes live…now. We’ll also add an actual search functionality sometime in the next couple of weeks, which should make it easier to figure out if the thing you’re curious about has been covered before.

As you can see, this proves your claim is false.

At no point did they say "once we've added these features, we will never answer already-asked questions again", and I think it would be naive to try to extrapolate that. They're not adding any new ability to find things; they're simply making it easier than it was before. People that don't look at old content will continue to not look at old content. There are many of them. And the more people they can keep happy, the better for their business. If I knew you in real life, I'd bet money that if Ask Riot stays around for 10 years after they add the search functionality, they will at some point answer another "how do I get a job at Riot" question, despite the fact that it takes about 5 seconds on Google to search for "Riot careers" or "Riot job openings" and find well written descriptions of what they're looking for.

I 100% agree with your sentiment of "Just saying, at least answer things we don't know yet and are more meaningful..."

10 years, ofcourse. A few weeks? Look, no offense but there are CATEGORIES in the tool they linked to.

The next same sentence pointed out what i was just going to say. It's all up there and easily accessible. I mean if you can't use the Internet, i don't think you should work at a company that mostly uses the Internet to perform daily operations.

They explained why in the opening paragraph. Many people missed the first and second ask riots, so they are still asking those questions because there isn't a good way for people to search already answered questions yet.

Not a real search yet though; soonTM. That's what I meant. ^^" The repeating was to grab their attention to tell them about future search so they don't have to repeat again. I shoulda been more clear, sry LightTrack.

Well not a Search bar really but it does have categories which should be good enough imo for the time being.

But yes, you are technically correct.
