So...what is the purpose of this Ultimate skin?

Like seriously, weren't these supposted to showcase Riot's tech and be somewhat experimental?

MF can transform her suit into 4 chromas. I'm going to assume they'll have separate animations? But you've already pretty much done this to a greater extent with Lux. Where's the 'wow' factor here? Sona could change the in-game music, Lux had her chroma set and Ezreal had unique evolving visuals. Udyr had 4 visually appealing stances on the fly and MF has...4 chromas.

Did you just want to give her a new skin?

This skin has simply no meaning as far as i can tell.

EDIT: Yes, i know it will be priced lower but 5 bucks off is not justifiable. It's essentially a Legendary skin with chroma sets that have minor variations in animations. Hell, Illaoi's actual chromas change her abilities' colours. This skin should be 2400 RP at best for it's lack of originality and i haven't even mentioned the massive clarity issues in-game. Blitzcrank lost his walking animation and i forgot i was watching a MF Special Interactions video mid-way through wondering to myself what this champion's abilities are like.

I don't think the point of Ultimate skins is to one-up the next one each time.

I think the point of Ultimate skins is to give champions a better-than-normal skin that people will have fun playing as, and that people wouldn't mind paying the RP for.

Yes, Lux has 10 chromas in her Ultimate skin, but she can only choose two (well, three including light) each game. Udyr's stances are dependent on his skills. GGMF's 4 chromas give you more choice, since to our knowledge you can switch freely between each one in base. And since the skin looks freaking AWESOME, I'd say Riot did a great job with this Ultimate skin.

Plus, if you are an ADC main, you've probably been waiting 5-6 years for an new Ultimate skin that you can use often. Not everyone plays Sona, Lux, or Udyr. (Although top mains are still waiting lol)

Finally, none of us have actually seen true in-game footage yet, so we should go into this with open minds. Don't always judge a skin by its cover.

Well i'd rather like to know why they did not went with those concept arts instead (custody of Riot, found on Surrender at 20) and decided to go with that.

They look awesome and more fitting of the ultimate tier. Why scrap them to go with the current one instead ? I'm a bit confused.

The purpose of this skin is to release an ultimate skin for an adc which is very popular by players and will bring in a lot of cash. Nothing. Else.

Hold up. This is the 3250 rp skin? Bwhahaha.

At least it wasn't ahri right? Right?!?

Warlord Dienekes3/6/2018, 2:09:07 PM21 votes

To make money, one would assume.

MetaVolca3/6/2018, 1:45:37 PM21 votes

I think it’s to show how people will still buy it even though they’ll be blatantly ripped off out of $30

Furor Nexis3/6/2018, 2:28:53 PM14 votes

We've only seen the four models and like, a handful of animations. She should be coming out on the PBE later today so people will be able to get a full idea of GGMF then.

Oleandervine3/6/2018, 4:35:56 PM11 votes

They're not chromas. The armor plating and guns are completely different across all four forms, and based on their bios, we can assume she's going to have comprehensive particle overhauls based on which form she's in.

My top main friends and I, in reaction to another ADC ult skin, and no top lane ultimate skin:

As I said on another topic the common point between all the ultimate is the fact that the skin enhanced a fondamental aspect of the character: Ezreal's job (Explorer), Udyr and whatever his connection with animal is, Sona's music talent, Lux's magical abilities, Miss Fortune's job (bounty hunter)

Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is a one-woman weapon of mass destruction and a legendary bounty hunter seeking revenge among a galaxy of thieves.

i like how you just call lux's and MFs a "chroma" set except chromas dont change anything EXCEPT color. these skins change in design, VO, VFX, SFX, and even lines in the case of lux at least. gosh sure would like to know what chromas do that

Ultimate just means "it does something unique" Like you're literal post is bashing MFs looks yet by comparison its insulting udyr and ezreal can even CALL themselves ultimates anymore. Ez just shines pretty colors over the course of the game and UDYR creates ghost animals (they didnt even have unique VOs until riot did a pass on EZ)

Everyone so salty like sheesh, idk any other skin that lets me swap forms anytime, everytime, all the time, each with some uniquness. People just mad cause some underrated champ didnt get it. QQ more lol

The skin in has in fact in every form different VFX!

Literally just a copy+paste from my Facebook comment on this:

"As someone who has, and has personally explored all it has to offer, it really is just a legendary skin with in-game Chromas. That's not giving it enough credit, though.

The particle effects for each of the different variations are indeed different in ways that match the Exo-suit used. The Exo-suit animations and ultimate animations are also different.

That's where the differences stop, though. The taunts, attacks, and ability cast animations are all identical. There's no different voice-effect for the different suits's AI so the actual difference between the suits are aesthetic--the only way I can really describe it. Different suit designs and different particle designs but that's it. It's cheap, tbh."

It's like they took a Legendary skin, redesigned it a few times, threw it all together and call it an Ultimate skin. There's no real WOW here. Spirit Guard Udyr pushed the idea of a full character upgrade--that's all it really was: same character, updated look. Pulsefire Ezreal explored the idea of a character changing throughout the game, which is something that Elementalist Lux expands upon by giving her overall character and particles changes with each evolution. DJ Sona both expanded on the character and gave you a nice gimmick in changing the in-game BGM that's shared with your teammates. Gun Goddess Miss Fortune is just copied idea.

That said, here's a suggestion. The skin itself isn't bad, it's just cheaply executed. Each Exo-suit should carry it's own story in their gameplay; give you a reason beyond aesthetics to change the suit. There should be different taunts, different dialogue, different voice-overs, different animations for each suit. And it slips my mind so I may be wrong, but isn't the ring for her E ability the same for all skins? The suits need more variety than design and ammunition, and I think those suggestions would get people hyped for it and draw less criticism as an overpriced chroma-set. The skin is called Gun GODDESS for crying out loud. There's nothing very DIVINE about it, in any use of the term.

A personal gripe is in the fact that she has no unique interactions with any Pulsefire or Star Guardian skins. She has reactions for Ekko and Dark Star Thresh tho? [cass-cry]

You guys keep complaining for absolutely pointless reasons. I for one, am in love with the skin concept and can't wait for it to come out. I'm buying my rp from now.

Like, you have absolutely no force in anyway on you to buy the skin.

Don't like it? simply move on.

Mf has been around for years now, I think she's worthy of the ultimate skin.

Riot Stellari said there's a reason for the pricing, and that there will be a dev diary coming out today about the details of it.

Furor Nexis3/6/2018, 5:40:27 PM4 votes

Soooo I did some digging. As it turns out, Gun Goddess Miss Fortune was intended to start off as a legendary tier skin. This can be attributed to Riot Stellari's twitter, in which she admits to being the lead on this particular skin.

https://imgur.com/a/fVP1P

Another thing to note is that the BASE PRICE of the skin is 2775 RP. Doesn't it sound weird that an "Ultimate" skin would be cheaper compared to the rest of the skins in the Ultimate tier?

There's also a dev diary coming out later today explaining both the pricing, and why this skin is in the Ultimate tier of skin categories. So hold tight y'all.

Hethalean3/6/2018, 5:39:21 PM4 votes

I mean not to be rude, but calling them '4 different chromas' is kind of disingenuous. She has at least different guns, and a different... uh... bust in each form. The armor also varies slightly in each one as well.

I'll admit that at first glance, they do just look like different chromas, so I feel some improvements could be made on that ground. The armor itself offers way more chances to change it up from armor to armor than is currently being utilized. Also to me, the face doesn't even look like MF. I can just have poor eyes though.

Unraveler3/6/2018, 5:40:45 PM3 votes

The skin is not revealed 100% yet... but the thing that makes me unsatisfied is the 5th ultimate skin shouldn't be of any top laner?! I mean We have an ultimate skin for jungle, adc, supp and mid laner... but we dont have one for a top lane :/

Flemman3/6/2018, 3:05:19 PM3 votes

just gonna hope there is some triger to unlock new suit during the game, not just a be at base and change

SzGamer2273/6/2018, 7:34:48 PM3 votes

It's a discount Ultimate skin that is going to be priced lower than other Ultimate skins but higher than a Legendary.

Høustøn3/7/2018, 12:21:48 AM3 votes

I love how now there are 2 adc's with an ultimate skin yet no top laner :)
