Solution for inexplicable low FPS with good computer specs

So, my laptop is nowhere near top of the line anymore. It sports a GTX 680MX which was pretty good..3 years ago. It's a MSI GT70. 16 GB of RAM, i7, etc..

The problem was that despite more than capable hardware, my FPS in league always hovered around 30, even on the lowest settings. It wasn't Riots fault, or my internet. It was my hardware. Or, to be more accurate, the condition of my hardware. As I've recently been taking a dive into the world of customer PC building, I opened up my own laptop to take a look around with a new perspective. What I found was horrifying.

In my 3 years of heavy use, I didn't clean it once; not one time. So, I unscrewed the fan and gave a mean cleaning (q-tips and compressed air) along with the exhaust vents (which were so clogged up that air/heat could not escape). That also explained why my laptop was always much hotter than I expected despite having the fan turbo activated.

I also reinstalled LoL on a Crucial SSD that I bought around the same time that I never got around to installing into my laptop.

With both of those steps, guess what? My FPS shot up to 90-120 all the way from 30 FPS on medium-high settings and a solid 60 (never dipping below or going over) with maxed settings including V-Sync and anti-aliasing. The overheating of my system was causing me to take a huge performance hit and my outdated HDD might have also something to do with it. Moral of the store?

CLEAN YOUR DAMN LAPTOPS TO ALLOW FOR MAXIMUM AIR FLOW ----and if you can spare/save up for an SSD (30-80 USD depending on the brand/capacity), it might be a worthwhile investment as well.
