@Riot, Some Unanswered General Questions

Before I get into the list of questions I want to just lay down some suggestions for this post and the responses to it.
My hopes for Riot responses:
You will not be asked or insisted upon to respond to anything outside of your area of expertise. I am not here to ask Hippalus about splash arts or Morgaggeddon about price guidelines.
Please answer what you can as clearly as you can. Vague responses can be more frustrating than no responses sometimes.
We are not asking for set-in-stone timetables or a release date, but something better than Soon(TM) is much preferred.
If you see a good question, please forward it to the proper department/colleague and encourage them to come and answer it.
My hopes for Community questions:
Please be reasonable. There is nothing more frustrating to legitimate dialogue than somebody being obstinate and unreasonable in their expectations. We want Riot to WANT to come and answer some of these questions.
Ask questions and don't make demands. We pay their bills, this is true. That doesn't give us the right to hold it above their heads and make unreasonable demands though.
If a red responds to your question or it garners enough approval it will be added to the post. I'll try to compile some of the most asked questions for visibility's sake.
My hopes from both sides:
Be polite. We are all trying to have the same result. A game, and an environment we ALL enjoy.
I originally planned to make this one giant super-thread but was advised against it so let us try to focus on General questions not found in the other threads.
Here is a list of questions I have assembled. Please feel free to post your own questions and add to them. And stop by my other 3 threads of a similar nature, but different topic.
- It has been mentioned that you do not want to split NA into NA West and NA East, but you are looking at a way to reduce latency to East coast players. Has any progress been made in this direction? In light of recent events, like patch-based latency, a lot of players would like more information onto a when/how latency will be reduced for them.
- Is there a reason content patches have been slowed? S2 with a champion released every other week was obviously too much, but we are on pace to have less than 10 champions released before 2015. Is this an acceptable/desirable pace in your opinion?
- Can you speak to the “apparent” discrepancy between how Riot takes input brs. How the community feels it is received? Some examples that the community and Riot seem to be out of sync with are Trundle/Skarner reworks. Other examples could be the change to Lux's ultimate, Jax's splash arts, and the Community Beta.
- The community has often asked for a behind-the-scenes video/documentary behind some things Riot does. Is there one in the works?
- Are there plans for a lore medium OUTSIDE of the in-game client? Both Riot and the community agree that there is not enough lore in the game anymore. The Jinx MV and the Freljord events were great, but there is still a desire for more lore.
- Why do we have multiple outlets for communicating with the playerbase. As it stands now, official announcements are posted on the League of Legends Webpage, League of Legends Subreddit, League of Legends Beta Community, League of Legends Forums, and Twitter. Do you think Riot would benefit from consolidating this information?
- Will East coast players ever have the opportunity to see an LCS game where they don't have to travel the width of the country to see? It seems to me that if eSports wants to be as successful as Football (the standard of American sport success) that you need to be able to allow players to “show up” to the game, rather than limiting them to watching on a stream.
- With Nikasaur having left Riot, is there a plan to reconnect with the community's creativity? Will you hire a replacement an/or will you create an ongoing medium to showcase awesome community creations?
