First off supports are not even supposed to upgrading yellow for more wards, Hence the existence of sight stone, they should be on red. So your first mistake.
I did state in the comment section I would change to red lens during mid-late game, and second, I DID stated that "I have pretty much accomplish that role with my sightstone as a support myself" so please, study a bit more english on that part, Thank you.
Your second mistake. 250 gold on the upgrade is not always the correct answer right away. There are power spike in the game and delaying a major item can coast you a fight especially if you want to try and contest say an early dragon.
This part I can agree it would be detrimental for heavy AD/AP builders, so I have to say that that trinket upgrade rule heavily applies to those with no map awareness & people who dies a lot from face-checking bushes.
3rd mistake some people do not stay on yellow trinket. I would say ADCs should be moving to blu as soon as you get a sight stone. Other lanes tend to get reds. This does not mean that they should not be helping with pink and green wards, but you are saying everyone is on yellow.
I don't really expect a full 4 member to be picking yellows, as long as there's at least some yellows, mostly on retarded people who think I'm not warding enough, then I would be fine. If you guys think red & blue upgrades are better, just upgrade it then. 1 or 2 guys with yellow should suffice.
