How do reports and warnings work

Hi all!

I want to know how do reports and warnings work; I haven't played for 3 days and today i played one classic and one ARAM. After the ARAM received a warning that i was reported for negative attitude. So i want to know if that warning was just from a single report of the last 2 games i played today, or the warning was sent after more of reports summed up during a longer period.

And also are warnings sent/approved by staff? Are reports reviewed by staff? (If staff is reviewing reports) For which categories of reports Is chat reviewed by staff?

The reason Im asking this is because i was confused; in the both games i wrote only "shut up" in the first one to an enemy (he/she was spamming). So I want to know if it is a sum form my previous behavior(don't remember much of that) or was some one trolling.

I see you are from eune as well, me and a friend had the same thing in Aram today. I have never been banned, chat restricted and never had a warning for anything. I have never said anything toxic or anything close to rude. My friend is on a new account (lvl 10) and he never said a word in game (only plays aram/bots), and also got the warning. Maybe some people are trolling and spam reporting everyone?

Either way I don't think we will be punished as long as we never did anything wrong, I also think people who falsely report can get banned for it.

I wouldn't even bother asking on the forum. This is where angry children come to complain about their bans, pretending that their sexual harassment and racism didn't warrant a ban. You're more likely to get responses like "They don't look at the reports, they just ban the good people and let the leavers and trolls stay".

You should send in a support ticket to get more info on why you were banned, and get it rescinded if it was a mistake.

To actually answer your questions legitimately, instead of going off on a rant about how Riot sucks, here goes.

In-client warnings are automated. What this means is that the client automatically hands out those warnings after a spiked increase in reports against your account that deviate from your normal level of reports made against your account. No Riot staff member is involved in this part of the process. The only time a Riot Staff would intervene in this part is if the system broke somehow.

At this point, since the actual Tribunal was broken, Riot staff manually reviews each and every ban that they do hand out. When the Tribunal was alive and working, it wasn't actually known if Riot manually reviewed cases before bans were issued. Depending on who you asked, you'd get either a yes they do, even on the warnings, or a no they don't. However, I'm certain that most would agree that Riot did review the entirety of one's account when they were up for a permaban consideration.

Staff reivews everything that would be considered player behavior related. Negative Attitude, Harassment, Intentional Feed, Inappropriate Name, etc.

There is now a bot that gives out automatic two-week/permabans to accounts that it detects a lot of toxicity on. Keep that in mind as a warning.

Don't they have a way to report "cheaters" ( not sure what exactly the poster was referring to ) but you can send in a ticket correct ? Is that the correct way to report something if you feel someone is cheating ? Not sure really.

I also would like to know why I get warnings... i have received 2 in the past 2 days and i think its because I may have made people mad by beating them in game after they talked crap to me, then I proceeded to whip their butts.. after the game I got a warning.. wtf is up with that.. I never said any swear words nor was i toxic at all.. I just gave them back "rekt" everytime my team killed them as they did to me when they camped me top(mid, and jung) which costed them the game because my team won mid and bot.... anyway I do not like the warnigns i am gettign for something I am not doing.. I have never had a warning or a restriction in the past 4 years of playing.... I think this new system is being abused by litle punks who get butt hurt after they talk crap and get pushed back into it.. can someone with a real clue let me know whats the deal here?
