Yet another Post About ELO HELL and why it is A Real Thing

For those who claim ELO Hell isn't real...apparently you have never gotten those teams that consist entirely of fresh/green people who literally hit 30, and think that just because they can q for ranked they should. I mean I had a jungler on my team last nite that even said it was his first time playing Rek'sai, and he didn't know the jg role. Why is Riot allowing new players to go from bots right into ranked??? Shouldn't they have to go through a boot camp like so many wins in Team Builder where they learn some basic mechanics before they can play ranked????

Plus how is the matching system working properly if I'm getting people with bad KDA's? Now I'll admit that I am not of a top silver or above skill set, but I am def not a b5 player.

Funny. When I started playing a year ago, I immediately queued for ranked and got placed in Silver 4. Elo Hell doesn't exist. Granted, it doesn't make things better when you get trolls, but it works both ways. The only thing you can do is try your best to carry, and realize that there are players that are actually better than you and that you do make mistakes.

I agree with this. I think however what riot should do is make it so that in order to play a champion in ranked you have to have mastery 5 with that champion which would then eliminate the kids who just buy a champ and go right into ranked w/o doing any research or havbing any playtime on them. By requiring them to achieve mastery on that champ this would make it so that it would eliminate many very nooby low elo players from just hopping on ranked and giving everyone cancer

Elo Hell is real, but what people think it is isn't.

It's not "everybody around me sucks so I can't climb up"

It's "I'm where I currently belong so it's difficult to win against anyone higher"

only way to get to bronze 5 is to play like bronze 5 or maybe 4 and get a bit unlucky, but if you are playing like bronze 1 or higher, you won't even get to bronze 5. when you say you aren't a bronze 5 player and you are in bronze 5, that simple is a wrong statement. you are there because of your playing.

I've had junglers who didn't even have smite and I've carried them. I've had people say they were going to afk once in game and I while I thought it was a joke at the time, it turned out it wasn't and that was in promos. I believe that was the only game I lost in my gold 5 promos.

I've played from bronze 3 (that soft reset at season 4) to gold 5. this season all the way to gold 3. I've been busy lately otherwise I would still be focusing on improving since that's the best way to climb.

PS: I decided to watch a little of your game since you were in one and your playing isn't better than your rank from what I can see. you wasted heal and while you have no flash (since you didn't take flash) you walk up to draven and basically get killed for free.

your cs is fairly low and you end up making the same mistake twice fairly shortly afterwards and die again to draven. you tried to ult him for some reason.

by 15 minutes, you die a forth time and it's the same mistake again of walking up to draven and letting him just kill you. you've fed your lane, you have to play safer and you haven't even started to build armor yet like hourglass (which would make massive sense since the other team has fiora, MF, and draven which is a fairly ad strong team plus the fact that draven keeps killing you).
