Ranked requirements: can we have more?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only requirements to play ranked right now are that your summoner level is 30 and you own 16 champions. There need to be more requirements. Some suggestions:
-- Players should need to have at least two different, full rune pages using tier 3 runes exclusively. Really, not having at least one page each for AD and AP is insulting to everyone else on your team, especially if they all have multiple, diverse rune pages for different roles and champs.
-- Players should need to have more than just 16 champions. I'd say 30 is probably a much better number -- one for each summoner level seems fair. It's an advantage to be able to trade first/early picks after the ban phase to players who want high-priority champions, but if a player only has 16, it's not very likely he can even trade with teammates, especially when many of the high-priority champions are newer and cost more IP/RP.
-- Players should need to have completed some high number of normal PvP games across several champions before being able to play ranked. Bronze should not be a division sprinkled full of people who are too lazy to learn the basics of the game or a champion in normal PvP matches.
Honestly, many of these suggestions stem from the fact that there are people in Bronze who want to get out (I am one of them!), and their climb shouldn't be sabotaged by teammates who are unwilling to learn basic mechanics or put forth what others consider the true minimal amount of effort needed to be able to compete. I've been in this situation before: the person on my team with first pick and ban control has two empty rune pages. Am I seriously going into a game with this guy? Fuck. That. Shit. No, uh-uh. I'm dodging this queue and taking my -3 LP, and using the time that I'm unable to queue again to post on the boards, because I'm appalled that I was teamed with that asshole. #TrueFacts
