so i just tried a class cannon atk speed/crit chance build, and damn, so many crits. and the atk speed is insane if you combo hes E with the Youmuu's Active. ~ It was quite fun, as im used to the regular way people usually play wukong
basically ~ Yasuo's build on Wukong (well add in a essense reaver so you never go oom AND have Max cdr)

i'm just play testing, i could probably find room for a hydra, but with hes attack speed and crit chance, he literally 1-2 shots minions.
and with essence reaver he gets max cdr pretty quick, so hes E has pretty decent wave clear.
and with Hydra not giving the cleave till you fully build it, i think the reason for buying it on Wukong is too expensive.
with items like Shiv (or the new cannon item, forgot what its called) and sheen, and hes spells being so low cd hes E clears waves pretty fast.

I think that armor pen and raw AD is better. He gets kited hardcore and is not rly dps champion. Wu is great initiator and crit does nothing for his ult.
WukongMain1 votesBesides hes E giving him more attack speed for more autos (more crits). And most of these items are giving Raw ad stats with crit chance and items like youmuu's and triforce give you a decent amount of move speed to be able to not get kited.
I get what you're saying, and that was my thoughts before i tried this build, but its actually pretty fun.
i mean, your burst is insane with youmuu's, Sheen, Shiv(or the cannon item) and your normal spell combo. ...Maybe the regular armor pen AD build is better, but less people are building that armor, so you really only have the raw AD to go for, Maybe a little of that armor pen.
people have this fight or flight trigger in their mind. ~ when Wukong combos you and takes 80%+ of your hp, you're gonna run. When Wukong only takes maybe 40% right away, you're gonna fight. and that's a mistake, cause hes gonna then crit you in many auto attacks in the following 1-2 seconds for your remaining health.
