Remember when chests first came out and everyone was worried they'd have too many chests eventually?

People said that eventually you'd get too many chests stocked up because keys wouldn't drop at an equal rate. The retort to this was that you'd run out of champions that you could reliably get an S with and slow down in collecting chests, eventually evening out by the end of the season before chest availability on champions reset.

Well it turns out the original concerns were right. It's a new season, and after just using up my last key a few minutes ago on a chest, I still have three chests sitting around without a single fragment to open them. This trend is going to continue, and eventually after a long while there will just be tons of chests sitting in the loot tab.

I'm not complaining about the loot system, I'm happy it was implemented and I love the idea. But I still want to point out my, and most likely others', concern that keys are not dropping at a rate that will catch up with chests over the course of an entire season. I waited all of season 6 to see how things would turn out in the end because I don't like making assumptions or attacking new implementations before I know how it fully works, and I can confidently say that the drop rate of each is imbalanced.

I have 7 keys and no chests [slayer-jinx-catface] I have 3 available just my champion pool is too small for me to be able to reliably get any more S ranks on any champions.
