What is going on with the tribunal?

Last time I heard something about the tribunal is that is down for an upgrade. Did i get the wrong information?

If its down for maintenance... Its been months now, I cant think of a reason why, if it is an upgrade it could have been tested off site while the old one was still functioning and then just replace it.

And who is reviewing the reports while the tribunal is down? Or for now everyone is getting just auto warning after certain amount of reports?

I cant say that EUNE is less or more toxic from when the tribunal was up, but I'm interested if a change is coming up, and what is going on currently with the reports we are sending. I don't want to bother with the reports if they are not taken in to account. If anyone knows something please do share.

I really liked reviewing cases btw. How often did u reviewed cases?

So if the experiment is successful the tribunal as we know it will be no more?

Ill miss it, it really helped me couple times in the beginning when i started reviewing cases; When I was about to rage, I remembered some random case in which summoners had similar fight , and would just think to myself "how stupid and pointless" and try to calm things instead going on a flaming spree. Not because i was afraid of a report but coz it sounded ugly when u read it afterwards.

To be honest, when I had it available at any time, the thought of it seemed to be tedious without reward. Simply put a means to an end. But now that I'm without it, I feel the need to rule like a justicar. </3

i think lyte switched to a word salad weighting metric but im not too sure... it seems unfair but if you get reported alot you will be banned now. no more tribunal :(

From what I understand the tribunal is indeed down for an indefinite amount of time for upgrading. In the meantime Lyte and his team are testing new systems like a new automated chat-restriction system as well as I'm sure a few social experiments that his team always has running.

All perma-bans are still manually reviewed as I expect they will always be, but the chat restrictions and temp bans (again, from what I understand not certain) are primarily automated with random manual reviews to make sure the system is working as intended and what points need to be tuned.
