Something is seriously wrong with how the League patcher works.
I have come to be extremely frustrated with the league patcher after the third time it prevented me from playing the game in five days.
The first time, when patch 5.3 came out, it scanned over 30,000 files and took 4 hours to update. That's annoying, but it's an update, so I guess it's understandable.
The very next day, it scanned over 40,000 files, taking 5 hours. Okay, getting frustrating, but maybe they just patched in bug fixes.
It seemed fine for two days, but here I am again, staring at a constantly increasing number of 33% Calculating Differences. At the current trend, I won't even be able to play League until mid-afternoon (in over 5 hours).
This is absolutely ridiculous. Is the patches seriously scanning every single file related to League every time any client side patch comes out? Do you keep a log of every version of League ever that it scans through whenever it updates?
All I'm asking is to be able to play League of Legends. Soon I'll have lost over 12 hours of play to this "33% Calculating DIfferences" screen.
Is there any way to speed up the process, or will I just have to waste almost half my waking hours hoping that the number on the screen will stop increasing to increasingly ridiculous numbers?
