Alleviate ranked with 1 Account per Person?

Just trying to throw ideas out there, no need to downvote because "but my smurf"

Just putting this out there, it would removing some boosting by not allowing players to play below their skill level. Also, it would improve higher end matchmaking times, because they would be playing in that higher MMR rather than on a smurf.

That would not remove boosting. It would just increase the frustration for people at very high elo. They have multiple accounts so that they can jump on an account with a reasonable queue time; usually letting their main decay to get better queue times later (kinda like a cd on it).
In addition, with the new restrictions to higher tiers it will be hard/impossible with that suggested above to be able to practice plays with their teamates in ranked if their ranks are not the same.

Yes, removing 1% of all boosting definitely puts a dent into the boosting business! GENIUS! Most people getting boosted let other people play their accounts. It's much faster and easier for everyone involved that way.

It would barely improve higher end matchmaking times. Even if you double 0 available players, you still get 0 available players.

I said some boosting.

20 minute queue time in high gold - low plat, and how does playing in bronze or silver help player experiance?

That is what draft pick is for.

1% of 100 is definitely worth the tradeoff!

What the fuck? 20m queue time in low plat? No. It's like 3-5 minutes if you choose the most wanted roles. And high plat is only like 5-15 (15 being at a really bad time or getting a bunch of dodgers).

Who the hell is playing in bronze or silver? Challenger players go on low masters accounts. Diamonds go on low plat accounts, maybe gold if they want to play with a friend. You generally only drop about 1 division unless you have 5 accounts strategically placed in every ELO, which is way too much trouble to maintain, since that's 50 games (without knowing exactly how much to win or lose to get the ELO you want) at the start of every season just to set the accounts. 50 games you can climb so much ELO. It's honestly a waste of time unless you have SOOOOOOO many friends in EVERY ELO. In which case you should probably just go hang out with them instead... People with multiple smurfs generally only have 3 accounts total, maybe 4 if they've played a LONG time and are doing a level 1 to X run on twitch for their viewers. So 1 account is the main, 1 account is the shorter queue times/low stress/fk around account at 1 league below, and the last account is either a secondary shorter queue times/low stress/fk around account at 1 league below or is the account you go on to play with your lower ELO friends.

And to say that they should play normals is just stupid. Okay, let's fuck over the VAST majority of casuals in order to protect the small percentage of casuals. As if normals matchmaking isn't bad enough, let's throw QT and Annie Bot into the mix.

Also, you can't guarantee that players are only playing ranked on 1 account without accidentally fucking over a bunch of people. How will you enforce it? By IP? What about PC Cafes? Welp, guess they're fucked. What about households that share a computer? Fucked. What about apartment-mates? Fucked.

There are a LOT of downsides to your idea, and you've yet to put up even a single reason where any of this would be justified. Even if we could accurately enforce it, you've still yet to put any good reasons why we should enforce it.
