Honestly from what I know Blizzard is way less tolerant of this kind of crap than Riot.

I saw one flamer in Overwatch already which was funny cause I'm pretty sure it was the guys 3rd or so game.

Blizzard will ban you on the first sight of toxicity. Here's how it will go: You pay them 40-60 bucks for Overwatch, you say shit and you get a foot up your ass in a matter of a day, with their "thanks for the cash, bitch xo xo" note attached to your back, like a donkey you are.

Damn, and here I was ready to downvote

Yes, but even then, because of the amount of people that play Blizz titles, for every toxic person, there are a ton more.

In LoL's case, because it's a free game, you just create unlimited amounts. This is why, despite free to play games often trying to reduce toxicity with hard punishments, it doesn't matter, because those toxic players circumvent punishment with new accounts.

With games that cost money, if you get punished, you can't create a new account with out spending money; Making the game cost money can reduce toxicity.

I was also ready to downvote. XD

But yes. People who switch to something Blizzard for said reasons are in for a nasty shock.

Blizzard has even LESS tolerance that Riot does. Been playing WoW for years and have seen it time and time again.

FTFY. Blizzard already released a statement that they will have zero tolerance for toxicity in Overwatch.

Overwatch is fun, but it's not a replacement for a game that you can spend hours in. I get too frustrated with Overwatch too quickly for it to replace games like LoL and Diablo that can soak up hours a day for days on end.

Don't kid yourselves, Blizzard does a terrible job of banning trolls. Log onto any high pop WoW server and look at trade chat for 30 seconds to see that. As someone who had played both games for years (and WoW since it launched) Riot has made FAR more effort to control trolls and toxicity than Blizzard ever has. It's not even close.

The Ecdysiast5/24/2016, 9:13:17 PM2 votes

Yeah, but other communities aren't half as toxic-- in the sense that they won't go out of their way to get someone banned from a video game that they agreed to deal with the community of when they signed up.

When you decide to play a game, you're deciding to deal with whoever else plays it, unless it's a solo game. No reason to ruin any other paying costumer's experience because you don't know what the mute button does. Unless this is your first time on the internet at all, you should know all the risks involved in playing an online game-- and the lack thereof if you use the mute function.

League of Legends in itself creates toxicity. My friends used to get mad at each other over this stupid game, because we thought it was actually competitive. Boy, were we wrong. Now, we usually just play Rocket League. Honestly, I don't think it would be possible to play Overwatch and be toxic. It seems like a fun game.

Explorius5/25/2016, 12:57:46 PM2 votes

Plz all toxic nubz go play Overwatch. Cuz it would be more fun to play LoL without ur faces [slayer-jinx-wink]

And when you get banned in Overwatch you can't simply make a new account for free! So glad they decided not to go F2P.

Yea Blizzard Is the sort of company that will ban you on your first time. they don't give a fuck!

j j5/25/2016, 5:57:34 PM2 votes

One question about overwatch(since we're on the subject) Does anyone know if you can install one copy it on multiple computers? I would like to buy it but if I need to pay $100 to play with my brother thay seems really expensive and would rather countinue playing league.
