If Riot increases bans to 10, they must increase the Ranked requirement from 16 to 20 owned champs

I didn't realize this until just now. If you don't understand why, I'll tell you;

In Ranked Draft you must own a champion to play it, no Free-to-Play Rotation. You must also own at least 16 champion in order for there to be no possibility of your champion pool being completely picked and banned away, since there are 9 other picks and 6 bans. If the bans increase it would be possible to be left with no options if you own less than 20 champions.

If/when Riot increases the bans, I think they should also drop the cost on several champions, or even provide some of the cheapest ones automatically.

Yeah, someone had the idea (sorry i don't remember who you were random boards poster) that as you level up you get the option to unlock a champion for free every few levels. That way the leveling up process gives you something that you feel good about.

Why is this a bad thing? i have always felt the requirements to enter ranked were too low to begin with so this would be a step up, even better is if they added the requirement of having a single complete tier 3 runepage done, because playing without one is just crippling in ranked.

Awesome. Forces more experience on people before entering ranked. Sucks for them, but improves the quality of games in ranked. win-win honestly.

Or they should require 4 champions in each intended role at MR 4 or greater, not just any 20.

I really would have thought that's something to also consider if it happens. Also the prices should be on champions that are the least likely banned/permabanned cause when 10 bans come: Yasuo Riven Vayne Fizz LeeSin are definitely going to be on the blacklist across all divisions.

The only problem with 10 bans is your gonna see a lot less of the high skill champions in ranked games. I'm sure Yasuo and Fizz will never be played again in ranked games because they will almost be ban instantly because each team with have 5 bans. Also, the problem with more bans is not only does your pool of champions have to be bigger because that's kinda easy after a while but you have to also be good with more champions because it's still Ranked Draft. You may have 30 champions but maybe you're only at Ranked level with say 15 of them. If those are gone, you're screwed

I agree with increasing the ranked requirement.

But I don't agree with allowing them to get champions easier. It needs to stay the same, or get even harder. (I also like the idea of having the tier 3 rune page completed).

New players should play as many normal games on lvl 30 as possible before they can even get to ranked. I am sick of players who dont realize they can't compete in ranked just yet, even though they are lvl 30.

Hopefully they require a pool of at least 26 champs. 20 champs wouldn't work because if you were last pick and had bad luck, you could easily be stuck w/ an ass champ for the slot you selected. I guess 25 could be the minimum as it would give a buffer of one champ/role extra. I am ok w/ it taking a bit longer for new players to start playing ranked. So you have to grind ip for another month or two, that's good for game knowledge :)
