Mordekaiser should NOT get a full rework

Mordekiaser is an awsome, amazing champion. He has huge strengths, and big weaknesses as well. High damage, high sustain, low base hp, hp regen, and movement speed.

Given that Mordekiaser is supposed to be the melee carry of the juggernauts, let's keep this idea, and make him thematically fitting.

Simply put: -Base hp stays the same. -Base regen stays the same. -Base Movement Speed is buffed by 5. -Mordekaiser gains 5 Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds for each consecutive Q landed. -W, Harvester of Sorrow, stays the same. -E, Siphon of Destruction, stays the same. -R, Children of the Grave, stays the same.

This allows Mordekaiser to still be slow, but give him windows of power for sustained damage in a League of mobile champions. He will still be susceptible to kiting, but plays into the theme of a juggernaut gaining momentum.

Other than that, if the bug that cancels the damage from any ability and auto attack after W is deactivated can be fixed, that would really smooth him out. It's been there since W was nerfed to only damage 2 units on deactivate damage instead of all within. I may be wrong, but I'm sure if that was reverted, the bug will go away.

I am in high hopes some folks over at Riot see this, give these simple changes some thought, and put out some nice feedback!

Thanks for reading.

Completely missing the point.

Mordekaiser is still fun to play, else people wouldn't play him.

What warrants a full VGU is how toxic his design is and how little in terms of outplay/counterplay option he has. He's just extremely binary and his kit is really outdated, thus he can't really compete with the other champions.

He, simply put, has no place in the game, especially since it's evolved way past when he was in his prime. And even then he was deemed inherently unhealthy.

Sorry, friend. You outlined the reason for a full rework with your second sentence.

Too strong in some situations, too weak in others. That's what imbalance is. He is fun for us mains but can still be toxic to play against.

The Dragon is crazy. Solo baron at 20 mins without taking ANY damage?

He's my favourite champ but I'm looking forward to a rework.

-The 150+ bugs get fixed

Vraestin5/30/2017, 1:17:44 AM2 votes

PS: Despite what we say, Riot not releasing a Morde skin for 2+ years and not fixing a single one of the 150+ bugs he has, even when they got published and shown in front of the whole reddit, clearly means that his V G U is coming. And we can't do anything about it.

Prepare yourselves for something like " mordekaiser gains shield while damaging enemies, no longer gains shield from minions ( BUT HEY, now the shield doesn't fall off when out of combat ), " mordekaiser now has a stun " " mordekaiser has 1 sec 90% slow " and idiotic things like those.

" Mordekaiser is no longer able to move the ghosts and they themselves are not anymore copies of champions, but just random 2k17 Caspers who will push the nearest lane for 12 damage per hit "

Remove the dragon aspect from his ulti for a start. That shit is stupid and contrived on so many levels.

Rest could remain mostly intact with just a couple tweaks like those mini-reworks for the other champs and it'd be good.

Mordekaiser needs a full revert and THEN rework his Q to feel more like a backline mage than some weird squishy AP juggernaut thing - i liked the hyper melee metal mage that had the ghost ultimate (remove ghost dragon pls)

Okay. I get yall's points. I just hope he's not turned into a tank. I love Morde's passive shield, high sustain, damage, and ghosts.

I just hope he can still get champion and dragon ghosts, have that high sustain, shield, and high damage.

Being a Seige God is freaking cool.

Mordekaiser is the only thing that keeps me playing league. That said, I am gonna defend him with my own teeth if it's necessary. Now let's talk about serious things:

People who are confused or doubtful about morde being able to solo baron at 20 min with no damage, should not be part of " VU or VGU update? ", because it all explains that they don't know anything about how morde ACTUALLY works.

Morde has some serious problems in his kit, but the major part of them are actually the bugs. I do not belive that he needs full rework and, even if he does, well.. here in Italy we use to say " si sa quel che si lascia ma non si sa quel che si trova " which more or less means in english " you know what you leave, but you don't know what you find " which means that Morde updade could change the character forever leaving this awesome Morde behind. And do not pretend that this didn't happen before because the old Sion is still crying in his grave. The new Sion is truly an amazing champion, but has NOTHING to do with the past one. I don't want them to change the concept of Morde and adapt him to the new meta. Mordekaiser and the people who play him demonstrated during the years that meta is nothing compared to patience and work. The new morde, even being it an overpowered non-situational champion that fits any teamcomp, would be a Morde used by anyone, a Morde whose kit is no longer a mistery for the enemy. A Morde with weaknesses caused by counterplay and NOT by things that his own kit misses. That idea disgusts me. Really. People who NEVER touched Morde because they are plain meta abusers, who will get their hands on the reworked champion and claim their right to say " wowowo he is so good now ".

Just no. Leave Morde for the few people who do not play the game following what mr. rekkles or, dunno, mr. faker does.

You maining Morde isn't a reason enough for why he shouldn't get a rework
