Suggestion: Revoke ranked rewards of "season's over, time to troll" players.

No, I don't mean players who simply aren't taking ranked seriously, or not playing their best, or making unconventional picks, or whatever. I'm talking about people who have already received their ranked rewards and are now going into ranked with the intention of losing just for fun, and because there are now little to no consequences (they got their gold/plat/diamond border, so what do they care if they throw a few games here and there?).

I'm talking about stuff like this.

I'm sending these screenshots (uncensored of course) in a support ticket and this guy will probably get banned, but it'd be pretty nice if Riot could implement a policy or something stating that behavior like this will get the ranked rewards you just earned taken away.

Upvoted, this shouldn't be tolerated under no circumstances. Even if it's just a game wasting what some would consider 9 other people's times is obnoxious. (I don't like being in games like this even on the winning side, it's actually really boring to win due to none of your own skill)

I wish I could upvote this more than once. Under no circumstances should you ever go into a game with the intention of making it harder for your own team.

To those saying "chill out, it's a game that's just for fun" - it's really not. That's what normals are for. People generally play ranked because they want to improve their own skills and to progress on the ladder.

If you aren't mature enough to respect other someone else's climb, you don't deserve your own rewards.

I get real tired of the "its just a game" people real fast. If I go buy a pizza, and then someone throws my pizza into oncoming traffic, "It's just a pizza" doesn't magically make me not want to throw you into the oncoming traffic you put my pizza through.

Riot has stated that the people losing their ranked rewards are hatefully toxic, generally through verbal abuse.

The offense you're referring to is certainly a problem as well, but I don't think it's quite on the same level. Just report them and they'll get their punishment eventually if they continue the behavior.

To the "It's just a game" responses I have a question: If a little kid on your sons football team went out and just sat down on the field and said "I don't want to play this series, it's just a game!" would you A: Demand the Coach pull the kid out or B: Smile and say "He's right, it's just a game!"

If you answered B, then you must be the patron saint of "NO EFF's to GIVE" as you aren't passionate about anything.

Please keep us updated on what Riots replies in the ticket, although i have a feeling it's going to be , "thanks but we can't do anything lol srry but yea not sorry :)

Why are some of you defending this?! This is EXACTLY the stuff that people do that make me take week long breaks from the game. It's unacceptable, and infuriating. Removing ranked rewards for this kind of stuff should absolutely be implemented. Especially since Riot is already denying ranked rewards for this during the season anyway.

There will always be players like this, there's nothing riot can do about it unless the guy does it all the time. But yeah, send in tickets and report and hopefully he gets a ban. You really need to not let it bother you, cases like this are pretty rare, I just ignore people when they do this, they want attention, don't give them any at all and they'll stop doing it.

Im actually the guy in the screenies. I'm not trying to justify what I did, but at the time I had repeatedly been trolled in numerous ranked games and was getting more and more frustrated. In that particular game, I was with the karthus last game (he played trynd mid, fed, then started following me in my jungle), and he raged during that game and afk'ed and trolled, even though we all begged him not to. When I re-queued and got stuck with him AGAIN, and saw that he was going to troll with a karthus smite/teleport jungle, I pretty much just lost it and decided to troll him back.

Sure, it was just revenge, but at the time that's all I wanted. In hindsight, sure it was a bit petty, and I was reciprocating behavior that had repeatedly been done to me during end of season, but at the time it was extremely satisfying to troll then person who had trolled me - cause you know, karma's a bitch.

Anyway, I'm not saying what I did was right, but if I'm getting trolled in so many of my games then obviously there is something wrong with the ranked queues during the end of season.

Riot can ban me if they want, because honestly the game is just not fun right now, I haven't bought rp in ages, and I really feel like I could use a break from the game.

Looks more like he had a rager last game and just happened to get queued with him again and decided to troll the guy's next game, not just because the season is over.
