How did you decide what role to main?

I was wondering how many of members of the League Community decided which role they main? I have noticed a lot recently that mains of one role (or one tricks) often get higher ranked than those that fluctuate around different positions such as myself. How it is that you can pick one role and just always go with it? Obviously you have games off of it but how can you stand to just ace one role so well, rather than swap about constantly? I also got to ask for my own sake which role that you think I should main? I work really hard at farming, I usually hit around 80-90 by 10 minutes and love to continue farming into the late game. I like to play fairly passive in early game but love just going off in team fights. I am like stuck between Mid and ADC, I just can't decide which one to take. Maybe ADC, seems like it is a lot less popular than Mid. Leave what you got below and what have you![zombie-nunu-bummed]

I like top lane because it's relatively calm compared to other lanes. There isn't a huge amount that I have to worry about, and there aren't many distractions. This makes it much easier for me to establish control over my environment and drive how the lane is going to work. I also feel like other lanes are pressured to get kills and make crazy plays, and I don't feel that kind of pressure when I'm in top lane. I can focus on farming, attack my opponent if I want, and when I'm ready, I can move to join the rest of my team.

tl;dr Top lane = stay chill, less drama

I decided to become a jungle main, because a jungler can easily win, or throw a game. Now i know I'm pretty bad at the game, but it seems that every time I'm not JG, the random jungler is pretty incompetent. Here's to hoping i can keep playing rengar without getting nerfed again :C

find what champions you like to play and base it off of that. currently i either go adc or mid with Yasuo .
