You don't usually notice the ones who are high ELO and aren't rude though.

because most high gold players think they are mlg because op.gg say dey is top 15% so gitgud kid huehuehuehuehueheuhe

The real reason is probably because its kinda seen as the stepping stone between low and high elo (even though most consider high elo to be D2 and up) so you get a lot of try hards and semi-hardcore players that think they know what they are saying/doing even though they have no evidence or use reasoning that have majors flaws.
