I was told the season ended on 11/11 ,and now its preseason but why can you still play ranked? has the new season started already? if i play ranked now when season 6 starts do i lose everything ,please explain :(
The new season has not started, it's still pre-season. The ranked games you play in the pre-season affect the new season promotional games' mmr. They don't just disable ranked during the pre-season because some people prefer ranked games to normals.
The short version is that once a season ends, we enter the preseason, which is a time when nothing competitive is going on before the next season begins.
Big changes and overhauls occur during the preseason because of this lack of competitive play, and over the course of the preseason period, everything will get more or less balanced out.
