Power outage at home...

I've got a short story for anyone that has the time to listen...

A couple days ago I decided to resume my painfully slow climb of the ladder because solo ranked I tend to enjoy much more than norms because you tend to get matched with people of a similar skill level.

Enter champion select. Everything was going great. We had a plan, everyone had their respective roles (I was support Braum) and I was feeling confident we would win. Everything was peachy.

On to the load screen. As I inspect the opposing teams chosen summoner spells to verify my assumptions on lane positions I stand up, stretch and crack all of my knuckles getting nice and limber for the frantic mouse clicking that will surely ensue... then...

The lights go out. My laptop screen darkens. The tell-tale sign that my house has lost power.

Panic floods me. I begin immediately worrying about being reported and punished for leaving the game. Then I look to my right, my handy cell phone sits within reach. A couple of minutes bungling to get a mobile wifi hotspot set up on my phone and I'm in!

The game is already well underway. My adc is struggling to hold the first turret the level gap is imposing. I start sweating. I decide to buy a giants belt and relic shield a few pots and some wards to start off.

I head into lane to help out. Confident in the level gap the enemy team tries to initiate on me to get some easy gold. I manage to slip out with my life barely in my grasp as my teammates pick up some kills in response to the enemys sudden agressive play.

The game continues like this for another 20 minutes and hope begins to surge in my chest. We may actually win this!

Then it happens. My mouse and headset lose power all at once. My laptop is sitting at 15% power. Dread fills me again.

I don't know how many of you have tried to play league with a touch pad, but for me it ruined my ability to help my team at all.

I struggled with the forsaken touchpad trying to keep up. I watched in horror as first turrets then inhibs and finally the nexus falls...

We lost... Despite all my efforts. Despite all my sweat and tears. We lost a game we could have easily won.

The end of game summary screen comes up and i'm met with a warning dialogue telling me about not leaving the game.

Sadness. Was i reported? Was it automatic? Either way I felt it wasn't deserved.

0LP now.

Sorry for the longish post. Q_Q i just thought i'd share my unique experience with everyone.

Good luck in solo q guys.
