We're working a feature that allows players to restart a game if a player fails to connect. No penalties for players except for the leaver/AFKer.
No ETA on when it's done, we're working on it along with the new Champ Select project.
Finally, damn.......
Hopefully this is implemented more quickly than the new tribunal system that has been coming soon for like 2 years or so..

Cool this happens to me, my internet gets cut out and i can't play the game so i always feel bad about my team going 4v5 so it's nice to know they can get a better time now!
They should literally drop every single thing they're doing just to get this feature in ASAP. Drop your champion designs, drop your balancing, drop your dinner, Riot.
