Why is Screw considered a curseword for Riot?

I was trying to message my club member with the old YUGIOH abridged saying, "Screw the rules I have money!" and it blocked it :/

Well, screw is literally the f word with a less negative/severe connotation.

What really confuses me, is why "satan" is censored. You either are religious and believe he exists, or are not, and think he is a mythological figure, but either way how is that offensive?

I don't see how the concept of screw or fuck is actually offensive though. The actually meaning of both words is effectively neutral (with one talking about a metal object as well, but I digress), but it's the intention that brings offensive.

You can be just as offensive while using "non-offensive" words because context matters when trying to offend someone intentionally.

Also, I thought this game was rated T. Why does it need a language filter for "swear" words?

It doesn't "need" an language filter, it is an option for people who don't what to see swearing.

As for the first part, in the abstract you may have a point. But the fact remains that to many people, the f word has a pretty strong offensive/negative connotation, and as such I personally avoid using it.

Teens are still underage. Most parents do not want their kids swearing and the language filter is optional.

Because the phrase "screw the rules" is the same meaning as "fuck the rules". Its the same for saying Screw X player/champ etc. The term is basically a little safer then the F word but still means pretty much the same thing
