Mount Targon will most likely ally itself with Leona. As for Diana? It would a safe bet that the ocean themed champions will go with her. This battle could even decide a new item, similar to the Ionian/Noxian conflict.

Now that you mention it Nami WAS in fact looking for a moonstone. Maybe the stone is in possession of the Solari and Diana offers Nami the chance to help her people survive by getting that stone. Brilliant!

Not to mention, if Runeterra works the same way Earth and Luna do, their moon controls the ocean's tides. So they could work in a shaky alliance. If Riot doesn't do this, I will be severely disappointed.

Probably not.

Unlike Freljord event which involved about 5 different characters with redesigned lores that all were related rather tightly and each faction was backed by a whole army, Diana and Leona just don't have that going for them. Although they both have other people on their side, none of those said people are in the game and neither has an army/small country backing their alliance.

I can't speak for Riot here, but based off the circumstances I don't foresee such an event.

This is true, according to the lore both the Solari and the Moon work shippers were killed, thus leaving Leona and Diana as their only survivors.

But that doesn't mean is impossible to make an event for them, they could make a Sun vs Moon event where each map on the game have a Day and Night version, whenever there is a Diana vs a Leona they should have a buff of who dominates who (ala Jinx vs Cait/Vi), skins for them like in the Freljord event, or even reverse skins where Leona workships the moon and Diana the sun, the possibilities are endless.

isn't Riot making a 1 v 1 proving grounds sorta thing called the Lava field (or something)? If so, couldn't there be an event of Leona vs Diana cinematic for the cration of that? Hell it could even be related to Mt. Targon and be inside that old volcano. It would be glorious. #hopingforthebest

Yep! Magma Chamber may or may not release with the start of Season 4. It'll probably come out in beta with the pre-season similar to Twisted Treeline.

To be fair, If you go by release date, there are only 3 champions that were released after Diana who have an additional skin that we know of, Elise, Thresh and Vi. Elise and Thresh I believe were chosen because they were very influential in season 3 and thus make good mascots for the Victorious/Championship skin set. Vi, well, Vi is just that popular.

Looking at it the champion who immediately preceded her, Zyra, is just now getting an additional skin. So really, it seems like she is only now due for another skin.

I agree with the skin note. As someone who manis and instantly fell in love with her and playstyle upon release, it is most disheartening that she is the only champion, as of today, to have been released for 14 months and yet to receive a definitive skin to chose from other than her release skin (which was altered since it looked too similar to Syndra). I think Diana deserves the headdress over Syndra given that one is melee vs ranged, but that's old news now.

One would think Diana would've gotten a lunar revel or blood moon skin by now but we will just have to wait and see obviously. IronStylus usually doesn't disappoint so I hope she gets one sooner that later. Legendary hopefully? O.o
