Will there ever be an avatar of the Moon versus avatar of the sun event?

One can hope.
Probably not.
Unlike Freljord event which involved about 5 different characters with redesigned lores that all were related rather tightly and each faction was backed by a whole army, Diana and Leona just don't have that going for them. Although they both have other people on their side, none of those said people are in the game and neither has an army/small country backing their alliance.
I can't speak for Riot here, but based off the circumstances I don't foresee such an event.
isn't Riot making a 1 v 1 proving grounds sorta thing called the Lava field (or something)? If so, couldn't there be an event of Leona vs Diana cinematic for the cration of that? Hell it could even be related to Mt. Targon and be inside that old volcano. It would be glorious. #hopingforthebest
