Is Malzahar still good?
So im saving 4800 ip get a new champ to play, i was thinking Riven but i know Malzahar is strong but is he good? Ik he was reworked but is he still viable or should i just stick to buying Riven?

I play him jungle and he's my favorite ap jungler. Getting a level 3 dragon is a great feeling. But with most mages, if you don't kills, you won't be that strong. And malzahar is really easy to take kills from. So that's why I don't play him often.
His laning is pretty ok, his level 6 is strong as hell. his late game falls off in terms on ulting because of Qss, but his E/Q is still powerful then. he's good.
Malz is a lot easier than Riven. Riven is one of the hardest champions in the entire game. He's decent. His utility (Silence/Suppress) are very useful, and between his passive/Visions/Voidlings, he can generally safe farm for most if not all of laning phase.
Depends on what you want. If you want #FLASHYLC$PLAYZ then get Riven. She has a high skillcap and won't get old quickly. If you are looking for an easy win, then get Malz. He does not take much skill to play but is very good against certain champs.
He's strong if once you know when to ult and when not to. If played in the right hands, he can dominate the enemy team and make them feel like they can't do anything. Otherwise, you get people ulting the first thing they see and getting themselves killed.
Mechanically, his skills are easy with 2 point and clicks, one weird skillshot, and voidlings. And he doesn't really need to be fed, he just needs items.
Riven on the other hand is known to be a difficult champion who can carry a team if she gets fed and has a high skill ceiling although a lot of people who play her can be toxic since they feel they need to carry every game.
I played him for the first time today and he is amazing if yu know how to use him. difficult, but awsome
