How do I stay updated?

I'm one of those guys who probably play the game one day a week and maybe a couple times a month. I guess I also don't really keep up with all the patch notes.. How can I keep up with the changing meta? Autoban malzahar? No one played him when I last logged in...AP Udyr? That wasn't a thing either...New masteries?? (This is old but it's news to me).

So champs I play end up having different builds or go into entirely different roles than what I remembered. How do I keep up with these new hip strategies that keep coming up...
