The New Champion Theory crafting

So, with the something in the bush teaser coming out, it seems like the next champion release is on the horizon. I thought it would be fun to do some light theorizing based on the available data to try and discern what the champion could be.

For those of you that don't know, there is currently a file on the PBE causing animalistic noises the first time you right click to enter a bush. Now, let's try to figure out what it is.
This indicates that the champion is an animal of some sort; maybe a void creature given that they played a large part in the Targon lore event and then were promptly returned to the void if you'll forgive my pun. Another option is perhaps a sentient animal along the lines of MonkeyKing Warwick Volibear, but this seems a bit more far fetched to me because of the extremely aggressive and wild sounds of the creature in the bush. A creature of intelligence is very unlikely to make a sound like that. It could be an actual wild animal out of myth in Runeterra, something like a more primal version of Rammus. That option holds some merit. So far those are the only options I can think of, let me know your theories in the comments below.

Next, figure out lane/class this champion will most likely belong to. The last 5 champions to be released in the game were Taliyah AurelionSol Illaoi Jhin Kindred in no particular order. That is: 2 AP midlaners, a jungler, a tanky toplaner, and an ADC. Given that the last two releases were midlaners and Kindred is kind of an ADC too as well as a jungler, I think we can discount both the ADC and AP midlaner classes. This leaves jungle, support, and top lane. Junlge and toplane have historically had a lot of overlap with multiple champions being able to function in both roles through the years, but they are separated into a few different playstyles. Bursty assassin like champions, Bruisers (broadened recently into Juggernauts ect.) and tanks. From the animalistic noises the champion makes I am more confident saying this champion would most likely belong to the tankier side of the scale, as most of the animal champions in the game so far have been fairly tanky, with maybe one or two exceptions. However with how feral it sounds, it may be some sort of speedy damage dealer falling heavily into the bursty side. I think this is less likely for one specific reason: The assassin rework has just barely begun. This means that if they were to release a bursty assassin-like champion right now, they would have to rebalance it in just a few weeks and that is poor resource management, something Riot is very heavily biased towards (they will not make skins for champions on the impending rework list because of the need to re-do the champion's particles.) Lastly, support. I discount this option myself, as the sounds are far too feral in my opinion to belong to any creature capable of supporting another. The thing I believe to be most likely is a jungle champion, as the something in the bush trailer indicates a stealthy animal that lives in the jungle/ area with heavy cover. These are my opinions, be sure to supply your own down below.

What do you guys think? :D

I'm very exited for this champ because appearently this champ is the new riot members champ and might bring something new to league of legends, because of course they hired him for some reason

Maybe something like RekSai but works like Warwick or something?

It sounds to me like some kind of bird-like creature. A lot of the noises resemble loud squawks or shrieks, at least in my opinion. I'm thinking that it may be one of two things:

  1. An avian Void creature

  2. Some kind of sentient animal-like creature, like Warwick or Rengar

Perhaps it'd be some kind of avian birdman hunter, or someone riding a giant ground-based bird mount kinda like Sejuani riding her boar. Either way, I think you're right about it being a jungler but I actually think it might play more like an assassin. We haven't had an assassin character since Ekko and he was released quite awhile ago. Thematically, it'd make sense; some kind of stalker in the bushes, a wild hunter who swoops in and takes down its prey without remorse or relent. I know the assassin rework is some time away, but when they updated the mages, we had TWO mages released around the same time. Just because there's a major class update does not mean they won't release a new champion of that class.

That's just my speculation though. Either way I can't wait to see what this thing could possibly be.
