Does the Way in Which you Disconnect Affect Leaverbuster?

I just entered a match and my FPS was around 5 - 9. Literally unplayable. I told my team I had to restart my computer, and exited the match by going through the menu and using the 'leave game' button. I rebooted my computer, but was unable to connect to the internet until about 15 minutes after the match ended. When I logged on, I had a Leaverbuster warning waiting for me (the first negative pop-up I've ever had since starting in season 3).

I'm not worried about punishments or anything since this was a freak occurrence and it's my first ever warning, but I'm wondering if the warning would have popped up if I had just alt-tabbed or hard reset my computer instead of waiting for the 5 second 'leave game' countdown.

I hope there's no difference since leaving is leaving, and I feel terrible for putting my team into a 4v5. Not looking for sympathy or anything, just wondering about the title question of this thread.

Leaverbuster does not care why you disconnect or leave a game, just that you did. It doesn't matter if you rage quit or have some sort of internet/computer problem that causes you to disconnect, Leaverbuster will still flag that game as a leave. However, it won't punish you unless you showing a pattern of leaving multiple games in a small amount of time.

Yeah, I got a Leaverbuster action from a thunderstorm once that disconnected me two or three times before killing our electricity for a couple days.
