Why pick now to do a maintenance?

Out of all the times you could've done a maintenance, why now? Is it because people need to be there to monitor the servers or something? Because if not, 9:00 pacific time and 12:00 atlantic (NY) time is a really stupid time to do a maintenance. A lot of people play around this time and you just gave them all the middle finger unless there is a reason you guys needed to take down the servers now.

Edit: If this is a ddos, why the fuck would they ddos now instead of earlier? Freaking idiots Kappa.
