There is almost NO playful banter at the beginning of the game. Be nice, dont be a stick in the mud, its a game have fun! You can silently rage, or hate, or bm what ever you want later, just start the game seeming like a good person by pleasantly chatting or joking around.

Potato Doc1 votesThen tell me why when I face plats, diamonds and masters, I actually get responses on a general basis? I know not everyone from those 3 ranks dont talk but its far more common in higher elos. Usually its only 1 out of the 5 enemies but still its nice to see at least one other person who is willing to say something that isn't meant out of rage from the game.

I don't want to instantly /mute all because my team could give useful information that gives our team an advantage, but 90% of what I see is flaming or "funny" comments, neither of which are entertaining and both of which are distracting. I honestly think League could do with a system like Demon's Souls' message system: pre-built, customizable comments. Obviously the Demon's Souls system is a huge pain in the ass to navigate and could easily be improved on. TL;DR Shut up and play the game. I came here to win, not to deal with some random asshat's comments that he thinks are funny

Potato Doc1 voteslol, never did I say everyone, I said almost, there is a huge difference. At the very least be a pleasant person and say gl hf or something like that. I know you can do that. Did I say everyone had to do this either? Not at all, i just said Id like to see it more often.
As for being slow at typing usually during game I usually type, gj (lane) as im moving around the jungle, or back at base. You dont have to type much, but we do have a good full 1:40 seconds in a game before anything starts happening (unless a jungle invade happens).
It just a vast difference between plat+ players and B-G players.

The only thing you should say in a bronze/silver/gold match in pre-game queue is buy pinks wards/ wards win games. Everybody should say this every B/S/G game, nothing else.

... and, it's kind of sad given how much we type these days, but a lot of people can't type at all, and get maybe 35-50 GWPM. I think everyone should pick up art, and an instrument. Build up some manual dexterity.
