Banning / warning system needs some work.

So my other account was banned earlier this season. I deserved it for sure, i was really nasty during the game prior to my ban.

However, since i've put a decent amount of time and money into my accounts, Ive been on my best behavior ever since the ban.

Recently, I received a warning for "verbal abuse". I received the warning before i even entered the post-game lobby, which means that a player(s) reported me immediately after the game ended. Now, I didn't say ANYTHING this game. Like I said, I'm actually quite paranoid about being reported, because I've already been banned and i don't want to lose my account.

During this game, I was mid...our lane was somewhat even...I was slightly behind because they were playing Ahri, and then i was ganked which gave her a kill and set me a bit more behind. However, through teamwork and a strong bottom lane, my team won. This ahri was quite angry...she was smart enough not to voice anything in all chat, however, their jungler (WHO was the reason she was able to kill me the single time she did in lane), repeatedly said, "Report ahri" in all chat...presumably because she was toxic in team chat.

I receive this warning because 1 (Ahri) + ?more teammates of hers reported me. I looked into it, and their top laner, who was actually complaining about their team in all chat (unlike the ahri), was a pre made with this mid laner (aside..the top was a Riven XD)..........and i know this because I looked into their previous 3-4 games and they were both in each others games. obviously a duo. not to mention, Ahri was ranked Silver 1 100 LP and I was rank gold 1 80ish LP (and everyone else in the game was between gold 3 and plat 4)...was she possibly boosted?!?! Who cares, her mmr was inflated and possibly justified because she probably belongs in high gold / plat and possibly higher, but thats another topic entirely....just saying kind of strange that a player with a plat mmr would be ranked silver 1....really speaks to problems in the ranking system...but again i digress.

so I basically did absolutely nothing wrong, yet i received a warning because this pre made was mad about losing. Now my account is flagged for another warning for verbal abuse.

really is quite unfair...please bring back the tribunal. the automated system of bans based on frequency of reports is disgusting. innocent players can be banned due to being unlucky and being reported by several premades a few times in a row. ... obviously with such a massive player base, automated system is necessary in order to weed out toxic players. but innocent cases / players like this get lost in the mix when reported by premades. it's basically gang bullying.

Riot, do yourselves and us good mannered players a favor and bring back the tribunal. You can't beat the opinions of REAL people (compared to a machine) regarding toxicity. and, people are so fed up with toxic assholes and nasty trolls that i believe a great deal of people would genuinely love to contribute to cases regarding toxic players. please..... where is it.... it already existed....how hard is it to bring back....you are releasing many (great!) articles and features regarding worlds. That's great, i hope you really profit....but please, for you dedicated player base....plaease let us know you care about the problem of abusive players by bringing back the tribunal.

p.s. if you notice i even have the good behavior icon. I'm not so good with words, i apologize, but i think the report system is seriously flawed and punishing towards innocent / good mannered players.

Idk what riot is doing really, my account even got MMR boosting suspension yesterday Omg is duo rank with boyfriend some kind of boosting account behavior now? Totally don't understand them

The post-game pop up warnings DO NOT necessarily mean you were reported in the game you just finished. They only happen if you get a "spike" of reports against you over multiple games, and Riot deliberately delays them to make it harder to know who actually reported you.

If you're not misbehaving, getting reported does nothing.

Also, the entire time Tribunal was active it was nonstop "RITO GET RID OF TROLLBUNAL THEY ALWAYS VOTE PUNISH", so they really can't win...

you missed the point.

I am quite convinced the warning i received was due to illegitimate reports i received after this one game i mentioned (with this toxic angry Ahri), because that was the first game i played on that account in about 5-7 days. so your point about consecutive reports or "spike" , i.e. frequency of reports is inane. Do you work for Riot and specifically worked on the current banning/warning/report system? no? i didn't think so, so your nonsense about their delay is ungrounded. you have no actual evidence/knowledge on how the system actually works. your guess is as good as mine.

it's still stressful receiving warning because you were reported by 2-3 players from 1 game when you did nothing. ESPECIALLY if you are already paranoid about your account from prior warnings/bans.

and that's nonsense. just hearsay basically about "the trollbunal"....honestly use some common sense and what troll would waste their time on submitting false judgments (which derive no immediate satisfaction) when they can just fire up a game and actually troll real-time.

point is, it's quite stressful to receive warnings when your account is already in jeopardy , and you are TRYING to be a better/ nicer/less toxic player.

but go ahead , defend the nasty salty preamdes who know better than to open their mouth. they can just gang up on you and give you 2-3+-4 reports as a gang and you get warned for absolutely nothing.

Actually, Riot has posted lots of information about how these things work. They don't issue pop up warnings after every game you are reported in, and they purposefully delay them. All the behavioral systems work off of games played and not calendar time, so it's quite possible you played a few days ago, got some reports, and then played a game today and it showed you a warning based on games from several days ago.

Also, multiple reports against you in the same match are ignored. Premades do not have - and have never had - any extra reporting influence.

As for the warning system in general -- that's all it is, a WARNING that a bunch of people reported you recently. Riot instituted these because people whined incessantly that they didn't get any warning before a punishment was levied against them. They're designed to warn you WAY before you might get punished, to give you a chance to right the ship. But it's not possible for Riot - or even the crowd sourced Tribunal - to check the validity of quite possibly millions of reports being filed each day. So it's entirely possible (though unusual) to get one even if you've done nothing wrong, just because some salty players reported you a few matches in a row.

Tribunal, if anything, was much more lenient than Riot staff typically are. You'd see some pretty bad stuff get pardoned sometimes. But that didn't stop people from whining about it. When Tribunal was up, players who felt they were unfairly punished whined that Tribunal voters were not representative of the community, or that trolls were manipulating Tribunal cases, or that Riot was too cheap to handle things themselves. Now that Riot's doing the punishments, suddenly Riot's out of touch and the punished players are begging for Tribunal back...

like i said, i hadn't played my account in about a week and i received warning after playing a single game where a pre made reported me. we receive warnings based on FREQUENCY of reports. it's not that hard to understand. but you just like to evade the point and talk a lot. nice fancy words

so i am warned because a bunch of people reported me? but multiple reports against me in the same match are ignored? even though the last game i played prior to this game (in which i was reported by this pre made) was over 2 weeks ago?

your system has such a memory to remember the nuances of my reports from 2 weeks ago? and it adds them to the righteous claimed reports in this single past game? lmao you crazy. I'm really not smart but i can see the inconsistency between these two statements.

nice cop out btw, about "we can't release the details of our reports bc it would help people abuse the system". nah, rather abuse the people getting abused

judging by your very formal and very biased (towards Riot) delivery in every single one of your posts, i can only conclude you are a Riot employee posting on a brand new unranked account in order to avoid harassment which you would receive if you were to post as a Red. (which would be deserved)--why? because you don't actually address peoples' legitimate complaints but rather spew nonsense about your "policies" and ineffective methods of dealing with toxic individuals. listen to your community for once

stop wasting your time trying to appease a few people here and there and focus on actually fixing the problems your community is so vocal about.
