Taliyah seems like a swing and miss to me

I'm not seeing how this champion is good, at.....anything really. Her Q in essence has like a 3 minute cooldown. Use it like twice in lane and you cant use its full effect again for 3 minutes. I really dont understand the concept here. Why? Her W is a generic knockup the feels extremely lackluster compared to other abilities that do about the same thing. Her E is also kinda bland and generic in my opinion. I dont see how its beneficial in any way. Her entire kit seems like it was made in 12 minutes with no real thought being put into it. And a mage with an ultimate that doesnt do any damage? Just a generic surf across the map?! I dunno man....this is the most bland and boring champion riot has released in a long while. Nothing about her is unique. If her Q didnt only shoot 1 bolt for the next 3 minutes after using it once, i could maybe forgive the rest of the kit. It just seems like they created her kit and then realized its not very interactive, so they added in the worked ground thing with her Q to try and add some sort of interactive gameplay....since this is riots big thing nowadays. Im not trying to be a douche and just jump on riot and bash them........this is just my honest opinion. No malice or calling anyone at riot out, i just thought id put my thoughts out there to see if anyone else agrees. What do you think?

Statistically no, she is not. I am suspecting she will fill the same role as Karma on a team. She probably has a great early game where she can utilize her spells to harass, control and zone the enemy out of CS. Then late game transitions a secondary support. She just jumbles up the enemy team with her crowd control and then throws rocks at them. The rocks kinda hurt but they aren't really deadly by themselves but she puts you in a position where she just whittles you down and makes you feel useless.

I'm sure that once she hits live Taliyah will be horrible in low ELO simply because her damage output will be subpar. She will see better success when she hits tiers that actually focus objectives properly because her strengths lie in objective control. Simple and quick wave clear, check. Lots of mobility, check. Enough CC to wall/stall the enemy from objectives, check. You will probably see her evade ganks, set up ganks, thwart tower dives, get a decent CS number and have a high kill contribution score but you probably won't see her getting many pentakills.

And the players who will most likely thrive using her are the AP support mains who have a supportive mind set but want to play mid lane every once in a while.

I don't think it's bad at all. She has good wave clear, good utility, good mobility, and good cc/disruption. She also has a dash stop and a walling ability. The only thing she doesn't have is heavy damage output for teamfighting--but if you're picking her for that purpose, you're definitely swinging and missing. I also likened her to Karma when I first looked at her kit.

Lulu, Morgana, Karma, Anivia, Zyra, and to a limited extent Orianna all fit that vain of control mage: You don't pick them to slay everybody. You pick them to enable top/bot lane carries and to provide some consistent poke damage. Of course, all of these champions range in the amount of utility/damage they bring (the Karma carry is real), but they serve the same purpose in the long run.

You can use your Q more than twice in lane if you play intelligently. Her burst is decent (if you hit all of her Q), and her W is a harder-to-land, but more rewarding, Vel'koz E.

She hit live and she is horrible in high elo too with like a 20% win rate in diamond and above..
