Before you call someone toxic......look in the mirror

so i was reading a post with people complain about toxicity and someone said "I have no problems if Riot wants to put the trollers and flamers into a room and light them all on fire... just saying."

that statement is incredibly toxic since your saying hey id be ok with these people dying a horrible death over the behavior in a video game

not only that but ive had plenty of times in game where ill ask someone to stop trolling or feeding sometimes ill even say your doing bad i dont swear of non stop blast them but then the guy replies with something like "focus on yourself you fucking toxic piece of shit i might throw so you lose fucking flamer".......really? im the toxic one?

so basically before you accuse someone of being toxic look at your own behavior because theirs a chance your just as toxic or worse

To be fair that post you're saying is Toxic is from a post you posted on. You could have also copy and pasted the quote so that it wouldn't be misrepresented, but you were too lazy to do so. For the post he had at the end "......just saying" I think it was more of a joke about the fire talk going on in that particular post.

Copying the comment and not his name would solve that issue. (mainly as I believe that the context and form of the text on a forum defines the message that is being given)

True while a joke is definitely subjective I think the contents of that thread as a whole gives it validity. It's all about context really.

I don't blame you for being tired about it, and I know a lot of people who smack talk more than they should and then complain about others being toxic. It is something that we should all occasionally analyze our behavior and chat habits to help curb the toxicity back. However people will do what people will do.

In reference to the linked post, it's much more constructive to simply rant and burn steam in an environment where no single person is being victimized or threatened. It's a simple collective blowing of steam. Granted, in a perfect world, they wouldn't talk shit about others, but they also wouldn't have any reason to either if the people they played with were kind. In a post where everyone is just trying to vent and get over any anger they have (so they won't rage in game and DIRECTLY affect others), its better to let it be, because the only person being offended is the one trying to defend those at fault. In short: people rude, make other people mad. Rude people keep being rude, mad people become rude or go to mad page to mad with others. Mad people no longer mad. Mad people happy again. New happy people go play. The cycle of life continues.

Unfortunately some people are just plain oblivious to the idea that they can do wrong. Tell them to look in the mirror and they might just consider brushing their teeth, if anything.
