Those Anivia changes are really disheartening

It feels like they were so intent on completely removing her oppresive R-E lane combo (which they had already more or less done before) that they did not notice that in the process they made her feel extremely unfun to play (at least IMO).

Her new ult mechanic where it starts off as tiny and grows over time is insanely frustrating. What baffles me the most is that it came with no changes to the ult's cooldown, leash range or maximum size. It takes 3 whole seconds for the ultimate to cover the size it used to... In 3 seconds a battle can easily move from one area to another. The new initial size barely even covers anything.

Is the ult strong when it's at max size and does increased damage and slows more? Yes, but how often can you make use of that, especially in a game where mobility is so abundant?

I dunno... I finally got a game in as Anivia and I have to say that I am extremely saddened. I don't think the changes were all bad, I honestly don't know if Anivia's now weaker or stronger or even pretty much the same as far as her power level goes, but playing her just feels awful :|

To me Anivia is still fun to play, and I still do pretty good with her. I some what agree on the ultimate feeling a little weird and hard to get it's extra damage/slow at max size since it is hard to keep people in it for the 3 seconds because as you said so many champions have mobility and the ones who don't could even get it through protobelt now.

They did increase the leash range and range of the ultimate I believe. So the only thing that really did get nerfed for her ult was the initial size which was raised to 200 this patch, which I can deal with. When it was 150 range, that I felt was far to low, even with 200 I feel it's a little low but I feel that if we had to keep it there then I feel alright with it. I wouldn't mind seeing the max size increase but I guess the slow/damage increase when it reaches max is fine enough for when you get a chance to actually use it.

They even lowered down her ult's mana cost per second this patch, but it seems like they're bringing it back up on the pbe. I feel Anivia now feels better once you get used to her ultimate, and even rewards you more for when you use it correctly as what it should of been used for and that's a strong AoE zone and not only there for hitting a doubled E.
