And then I wonder why I wanted to play Cassiopeia.

Cass, when played properly, is one of the deadliest mages in the game.

The fact that all she does is all in with E She used to be one of my favorite champions and now I find her exceedingly boring

Her build path is constrained by her shitty passive and insane mana costs + % mana refund on E Her play style is nothing but Q-EEEEE-Q-EEEEE (I don't know what survives 10 Qs but you get what I mean XD)

Cass, who is (or used to be, I don't even know anymore...) a manipulative, conniving bitch plays like a trigger-happy killer. You don't try to weaken your opponents before going in, you just GO IN all the time. Any other play is incorrect.

She's just boring and I miss the old Cass, that's all

But I guess it's better to have a lane bully that scales stupidly well into the late game than having a lane bully that has a decent mid and late game curve (lolwat)

Gotta say, her passive really is pretty bad, one of the worst in the game. It would be better if it had infinite stacking, having it reach a maximum just feels like they locked away her power.

I can see what you mean by her playstyle, sometimes the fun isn't on killing opponents in 3 hits, its when you're playing the way you would expect your champion to actually fight.

I never saw Cass before the rework so I don't know how she used to play, but the way she is now she just seems to spam the shit out of her twin-fangs and nothing else really. It does silly amounts of damage and never misses, but I imagine after a while that spamming one button gets kinda bland.

Pretty much, yeah.

Before the rework, Cass was pretty unpopular because she was very clunky (her E would reset on HIT with a poisoned target, not when she cast it, which led to a variety of problems, her R was not nearly as responsive and her Q had a random delay instead of a fixed one) and hard to play, but at least for me she was insanely fun.

I never really picked her for her lane bully potential, so when Stashu said he wanted to take that away I was more than fine with it. But what ended up happening was a complete removal of her poke play style. Before the rework, one Cass build focused on her poisons and included both Rylai's and Liandry's, the result being that she would hit people with Qs and slowly burn them down. Or you could build more tanky, or pure AP. All those builds had their strengths and weaknesses and I miss that. Like I said, nowadays you have pretty one viable build with the only choice being which mana item you go and in which order you buy your items. Hey they wanted her to feel like an AD carry... well they managed to port over Cass one of the worst aspects of playing an AD carry : the lack of item diversity.

Anyway, back to her play style. I used to play Cass as an opportunist. Hit them with Qs, then when they are weak enough, go in for the kill. IMO that's how Cass should play like. Slither around the battlefield, look for opportunities to sink your fangs into someone all the while playing a dangerous game of poke with your enemies. You need to hit multiple skill shots before being able to go in, but you can impact the game without going ape shit crazy on the E-spam.

To me it was just more fun. Today, you have mana AND health sustain built into your E... your Q deals low damage, your W might as well do no damage... The rework brought a lot of good things in terms of how she feels, she's a lot less clunky, but I'd go back to her older self in an instant, clunkyness included.

Oh well. To me that's just sad that they destroyed such an enjoyable champion. That's mostly why I made this thread.

I feel you bro. I hoped Riot reverted the changes after all the shit and several thread. But now i think everyone who cared enough just gave up, stoped playing her and move on. (Like myself)
