''We want Morde to be picked instead of an AD carry''
Good one, Riot.
Good one, Riot.
There is no reason Mordekaiser can't go to bot lane right now, so why was his solo laning nerfed?
The change to his W is incredibly stupid. So now it only deals damage if your mommy is holding your hand? What if you're pushing a wave solo or your support has to leave you alone (you know, because the support supports the team, not just you), and then you find yourself having to duel the enemy top laner? You're losing out on some of your damage because your mommy isn't there to change your diaper?
Removing Mordekaiser from mid lane to try out an experiment that likely wont work
RIP my main
Gonna start buying tears on him

It just makes so much sense for a shadow isles champion that is known for extreme hate, malice and anger to be like "yeah I like working together in the bot lane" Such a fitting sense of changes for his identity. /sarcasm
They completely killed his identity and are about to send him into Yorick territory because picking him over the class that has been mandatory since day one of this game makes total sense.
We pick ADC's for late game insurance and turret seige.
Mord has neither of those.
It's such a stupid statement that it would be incredibly funny if it wasn't so damn sad.
"Hey guys! How about instead of bringing a tank or bruiser to top lane, why not bring
? We'll rework him to make it seem like it's a good idea for you!"
I actually started playing this game back at the beginning of S2 because of Morde. I saw his picture on the wiki page before I started playing and thought his concept was cool enough to start playing the game.
And yet, he's been pretty much shit ever since.
If only they gave him a passive that made him ranged against turrets
Honestly it will be an extremely valid tactic simply because he gets full exp from kills and not half like the other adc.
Morde + Zilean
ALL THAT EXPERIENCE TOUGH
Morde + Sona
Poke, heals and speedup.
Good old Rito... TROLLOLOLOLing bruiser players since Season 2.
I think the idea is less that you pick a comp without an ADC and more that you put Mordekaiser into the duo lane and you put the ADC into a solo lane, rather than the other way around.
This allows the team to get the benefits of the ADC (objective control) while still having your AP carry get both the safety of having a support in lane and the experience of the solo lane.
I think it's a cool idea, but I'm not sure if players would honestly be willing to pick it up as a comp idea. I'd definitely try it (I'm the kind of player who likes to try weird stuff like this), but I'm not sure that it's honestly going to be good.
"Oh yeah, and let's let him keep dragon as a pet. sounds fun"
He will become the supreme pick for bot lane trolls , and his dragon pet idea is just so stupid. Just rework him in a solo lane , only the abilities...
I am afraid of AD mordekaiser. Very afraid.
Look at his Q. It empowers 3 autoattacks. Each auto deals 3x the damage of the last, meaning that the last one deals 9 times the damage of the first.
If this procs on every source of damage....
8% current hp>24% current hp>72% current hp
I hope it only multiplies the spells bonus damage, or at the very least, does not do that.
Probably using morde as an experiment so ADC"s can cease being mandatory. I fail to see how this can be done without changing many other champions as well.
Here are my thoughts. NOTE Each evaluation was centered on the part of the update i evaluated, and I didn't take much of other parts of the update into consideration. So I might be contradicting myself. Ban me. Also, this is mostly geared towards Morde in an adc position. Because, let's be honest, unless he's guarding drag the whole game, he's not going to be played as much else. TLDR? Play with Blitzcrank, dont die early, and build hextech gunblade. GG
1. Base Stat Updates Alright, yeah yeah yeah. Base stats? What are those? For the most part, they're pretty small nerfs or buffs. A 10 MS reduction could be a tiny bit annoying because, well, you're Mordekaiser, but it's manageable. AD per level was buffed, okay, so was AS. That follows Riot's "please play him bot" mentality. A bit more armor per level? Sounds cool. The thing that stuck out the most to me was his attack range buff. 200 range, the same as Tahm Kench, sounds pretty good. And it is! Sort of. ANY adc can poke you out of lane early. Heck, most supports could poke you out if you don't stack your shield. Obviously he's not going to have level 18 Tristana range, but Morde isn't going to be playable without a godlike support. However, I can see a MordeCrank lane being broken as hell. Maybe ....oh wait, I guess there wasn't really a 'but' in regards to his range. Yep. It really just allows him to survive bot lane a bit better. Dang, wish i could make use of that in other lanes...
2. Passive Alright, as small as it might seem to some, the part about his shield no longer decaying past 25% is HUGE. Keep that at least remotely built up during the early laning phase and you should be fine against small adc poke. Get all-in'd, on the other hand, and you'll be wishing you started cloth+5. (Not saying that won't be the go-to start). The shield generation nerf is gonna hurt him too. A 10% decrease SUCKS early game. Late game, it may have a bit of an impact, but if you're positioning like an adc you shouldn't take too much damage to make that a problem. ON A SIDE NOTE THE REALIZATION HIT ME. He'll be the adc. Any adc worth his salt won't go running into the enemy team like many a Morde has done in the pre-rework times. He's gonna be a tough nut to crack, with his shield and an entire team peeling for him. Might lead to interesting team fights.... Oh, unless he gets completely shut down early. God damnit Rito.
3. Q Good job on this one Riot, nothing but positive things to say. I really like this ability, and I think he'll be able to make good use of it laning. I'm imagining a last hit - last hit - harass enemy combo, but I may be wrong.
4. W Well, where do I start. The passive is good for a duo lane. REALLY good. Any problems he faces in his early game are almost made up for by hitting level 2 long before the opposing laners. Unless he gets zoned from cs completely. Err, I won't jump to conclusions. The problem with this ability (aside from requiring someone else to actually function) is that it scales off of AP. That makes a full-AD build pretty bad, and for an attack damage carry, that sucks. Gunblade, anyone? I doubt people saw that Morde was moving to bot lane and instantly thought "Full Crit MordeKaiser", but unless you're way ahead early (ahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) you're going to want lifesteal and spellvamp both.
5. E I like this. Base damage was reduced, but it's got some AD scaling and the cooldown lowers pretty nicely to ability level 5, which by that time you'll probably have a bit of CDR. The +15% shield is great, too. A good E before taking poke will win you most trades.
6. R I CAN TAME A FUCKING DRAGON???? was my initial reaction. Oh man, I can see the dragon pit turns now, the 2v5 yolo hail-mary pray-they-don't-facecheck dragon and you end up ace'ing their team. I sort of feel like you should have to ult the dragon to get the ghost, but you won't see me complaining. The 30% AP boost and 25% bonus HP boost is hella nice in teamfights too. The fact that Morde's ghost gains 15% of his health is kind of underwhelming as he'll be buidling mostly damage, but it's a small price to pay when you can CONTROL A DRAGON.
My idea for an item build: Who the hell knows? Full APC Morde, full AD Morde, hybrid, off-tank, the possibilities are endless. A gunblade rush is pretty necessary, but after that, go for whatever your heart desires. Bloodthirster, Hydra (??!!!?!?!?!!?), Rylais, Frozen Mallet, Shiv, maybe even WotA or Ghostblade? Endless possibilities.
What did you guys think? First rework evaluation, so idk how I did or if i even did anything. Constructive criticism? :) Source: http://www.surrenderat20.net/2015/08/84-pbe-update.html
Morde adc won't work because he will get poked out by the enemy adc. He can't trade back the damage because of his short range and he passively shoves lanes with his aoe clear abilities. This almost freezes the lane on the enemy side allowing them to farm safely and poke morde out of any farm that he needs to keep his shield up and to stay relevant. Though, since he will hit 6 first, he will have an advantage in all-ins, making him great with a bliltz or naut support. But without some passive healing before he buys spellvamp, or a way for him to get shield without shoving lanes hard, I just don't see how he would have any favorable matchup in the bot lane.
Meanwhile, they are planning to nerf armor items, thus indirectly buffing all AD carries. Also, how am I supposed to play anything else than standard adc+supp bot lane? Because if I pick Morde instead of adc in Silver, I can bet everybody's gonna flame at me, blame me for everything, call me troll and probably report (because why not, in silver even "kill stealing" is reportable).
Tl;dr: armor is getting nerfed, so what's a point of playing Morde instead of adc? Also, I'm gonna get crucified in my elo for such a "troll" pick.
How can Morde reach the ADC?
thats a cool idea actualy
not that i think that they do update him good because his gameplay will depend on a neutral objective
this creates a rather crappy gameplay of ... we cant lose that dragon or morde will get his ghost and we will get rekt in 6v5
but pushing other champions botlane is good owerall ... it undermines riot's fawourism towards the adc's
