Had some questions about Hextech Crafting, please clarify for me!

  1. What does champion mastery have to do with the hextech crafting? And how do you earn a S in a game? Do you need rank 5 on a champion to get the scores of how you did? Cause I'm only like rank 2 on Yasuo and the scores are not showing up for me, like the letter grades. Or maybe because I was playing a bot game intermediate

  2. If you activate a rental on the skin for 7 days, will the shard disappear?

  3. How do you get blue essence to unlock a champion?

1.) It's the letter grade you receive at the end of the game. (D, C, B, A or S). You need an S grade to be eligible for a free chest. You don't receive a letter grade in bot games because...well, they're bots.

2.) Yes, the shard will disappear. If you want the skin/champion, unlock it with essence if you think it's a good deal. If you activate rental, it will disappear and you won't be able to do anything else with it besides use it.

3.) Through opening chests I believe (not to sure about this one). When you open a chest you can get a ward skin, skin, champion, orange essence or blue essence. summoner 31
