So Why is Master Behind Challenger?
I just think it's weird that Master tier comes before Challenger tier when ranking from worst to greatest. Shouldn't you start out as a challenger, to become a master...?

Because you become a Master player, and then go on to Challenge(r) the best of the best to reach the professional seen. Why do you think its called the Challenger Series (the event players have to go through in order to try and make it to the LCS)

I think they took master from the ranking of other competitive games like chess or starcraft where the second highest tier is master, the highest grandmaster. it does seem weird that it's below challenger, but I guess they want to make it clear that the highest group of players can join the lcs, rather than make them think they are done climbing as grandmaster would imply.
