How Did You Get into PBE?
I really, and I mean REALLY, want to help with the new summoners rift, but I never get chosen to help with beta. I want to know what sets you lucky few apart from the rest? What skills helped you get into the PBE

I would guess it's just a lottery from the people that sign up for selection in each round of the PBE. I think they refresh the list now and then or something...? Plus I think they take past stats into account based on a few things I have read on the site. So if they are testing a rework for a champion you play a lot, that would increase your chance to get draw from the lottery. With Summoner's Rift I think it is testing across a variety of hardware that is their core focus, so having an uncommon spot on the ancient - cutting edge spectrum might help?
I got chosen, simple as that. I'm not sure if there is a real proceess for picking, however, before I did get selected I've been active on the forums talking about Skarner and Kassadin and what my thoughts were on balancing them. This was sometime during winter 2013 when they were trying to rework their kits. They usually review accounts but maybe you should try and be more active on the forums on where you want to improve the game. Skarner and Kassadin are two of my favorite champs that I have in my pool right now, so i really wanted to help riot balance them. Looks like through time Skarner turned out great and so did Kass, but right now Kass is one tough cookie to balance even with help. Like sure Riot can take ideas, but not all of them will necessarily work out.
Hope this helped and honestly testing the new map isn't worth it unless your gonna test future content like nerfs, buffs, etc. Once some new content gets on the PBE, in about a week or two people just vanish and its really hard to get into a game. There really is no reward for helping except making the game more enjoyable for others through feedback... Like I hardly see myself play PBE unless I want to test a new skin and such, because no one really wants to play ranked or get into games that often. You see most people in custom's and queues take really long.
